Speculation Tom Hiddleson Wants to be in Star Wars Episode VII

Definitely think Loki would be welcome in the ST!

 

I second this. Benedict Cumberbatch would make a great Thrawn.

Neeson was great & Jackson played Mace as written, playing a specific part in the story well.

TH would make a good sympathetic Senator, something different.

 

Many people would say that Vader was the supporting role in ANH and Tarkin was the lead villain.

 

TH is a marvelous actor, so I'm sure he'd be fantastic no matter what role he's given. If he's a villain, he always manages to bring some heart and complexity, and he can really humanize a stereotypical "good guy" character.

I really like the idea of him playing an Imperial officer who is perhaps doubting the wisdom of continuing the fight against the Rebellion, or as a conflicted, somewhat-corrupt Senator who, due to his years serving under the Imperial regime, now has little faith in government and who is trying to figure out who to support. Or as a brand-new, wet-behind-the-ears politician brought in to help form (or assist in the newly-formed) Galactic Republic, trying to find his feet and navigate his way through the chaos of some intermediary government giving way to the GR.

Many people would then be wrong, as Tarkin has half the screen time of Vader. He may have had authority over him, but that does not give him leading villain status in a movie. Larger role for Vader makes leading role for Vader.

People, people, people, we're all missing the real potential here. Disney owns Lucasfilm. They also own Marvel. Hiddleson can just flat out FRIGGIN BE LOKI IN STAR WARS!!!!!

Hiddleston could be a great character, he might give Cushing's Grand Moff Tarkin a run for his money.

Also, Ian, Ewan and Christopher? Seemed to do well even with Lucas at the helm.

 

Loki was a weak villain (especially in Avengers). Not the actor's fault, though.

 

I want Tom Hiddleston to be a clever Sith and Benedict Cumberbatch to be a solemn Jedi. Seriously, PUT THEM BOTH IN!

He's great, but that doesn't mean he will.

 

He'd make a great villain, maybe even the main villain, he did a great job in The Avengers as the main villain, Loki, so I reckon he could do it in Star Wars.

 

I really hope Michael sheen is in ep7 , what a superb actor.
