I`ve just finished Home by Toni Morrison and got one question: Is it explicitly stated somewhere why Frank and his family were forced to leave their home in Texas? I would guess that it is because of their skin color, but I haven`t seen it in the text...
I had to read I believe it was The Bluest Eye for a humanities class in college. Absolutely hated it.
I never read the book, but since this thread is about Toni Morrison confusion, I've always been confused why the "Toni Morrison's Vagina" is included in Cards Against Humanity and what the humor behind it is. Does it have something to do with something she wrote?
Prenn: I think it's because she's a revered literary figure, and people don't normally think of her that way. Sort of like if it were "Gabriel Garcia Marquez's dick." And MS is right--Georgia O'Keefe's vagina is better. Also, "Beloved" is one of my favorite novels ever. I liked "The Bluest Eye," but it's insanely depressing. Never read "Home."
