My name is Rob The ToonMan. I am an Automotive Cartoonist. I do all types of Hot Rod art, from Event T Shirts to individuals prized rides. Recently, I have been obsessed with doing Star Wars Art!!!! I even designed my Star Wras based tattoo!!!
Now, remember, I am a Cartoonist, so everything I draw has a cartoony flair, but I thought I would share.
    Enjoy!!!!

Fastman5545, just a heads up because you are a nOOb. The act of insulting another member is a serious offense on the JC and can result in you being banned.

Thank You Talonstarshade. My style is different. It works well with the Hot Rods I draw, but I still enjoy doing these as well.

Very nice, but I keep seeing a blue box on your images that shouldn't be there and I bet it is from your scanner. I sometimes get that when I scan. If there is nothing on the glass, your problem may be in your scanner lid. My scanner has a little metal contraption in the cover that allows you to put in slides. Sometimes I think I am getting that shiney metal reflecting through the paper I am scanning. What I do is put a heavy piece of paper behind the picture I am scanning so I don't get any bleed through.

Yes it is from my scanner!! I just haven't been able to figure out how to fix it. I will try the heavy paper behind!!!! Glad you like my work!!! It is nice to hear from someone on this board!!!!!

Great collection of work here ToonMan! :) Really well done and striking style, those thick lines with that crosshatching is really wonderful. The colouring is using Marker yes? Great job and hope to see some more really soon, thanks for sharing!

I'll jump on the "unique style" bandwagon here, too! Excellent pieces, ToonMan! Each one has so much movement and action in it, like we're dropping in on the ongoing events--wonderful! Your style is very distinctive: nice bold lines and crosshatch shading, as Corellian_Rogue has already pointed out--and the coloring is great too--is it markers? Great stuff, and I'll add my welcome to the forum, as well!

Thanks guys so much!!!! Glad you like my work. Since this Star Wars art is new for me, it means a lot. I color all of my work with PrismaColor markers. They do the best job for me in my Hot Rod art as well as Star Wars. I have always done bold lines and cross hatching. It comes out really good for the T shirts I design. I guess it is just my style!!!

Here is one of my Hot Rod T shirt designs. These pay my Bills!!!!!(and pretty well too!!)

These are my Cartoon Characters Chuck & Arbee. They appear in several Hot Rod style magazines accross the US. These are their Rat Rods!!!

I have also supplied Bigfoot cartoons to various publications on the subject. These got me spots in documenteries on the Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, and the Travel Channel, as well as interviews on local radio!!!

Ouch! He is going to feel that in the morning. I always wondered what the armor is good for. It doesn't seem to stop blaster fire. I mean little Ewoks with sling shots were knocking those guys out.

Nice job on your recent drawings.

Hmmm... even cutting and pasting didn't work for me. Is it just your design or did you tatoo it on your body also?

It is tattooed on my leg!!!! If you go to this site:

    http://www.clonewarz.com/community/fanart/

You can see it. A photo is on that site along with some of the work I have shown here. That tattoo was a three hour process!!!!!! Long and painful but well worth it!!!!!!!

More great work ToonMan! Really great to see quite a different style in here...and some more tradional media work never hurts either. :) I envy your ability with cars and things technical, you really make the car seem like its got a soul and a real energy. Well done!

Oh and ouch on the tat. I've designed some for people but never really had the guts or had an absolute favourite picture that'd i'd want on my body for ever. I'm too indecisive! LOL :) Congrats on it though...looks great! I'll bet people will never doubt your star wars fandom ever again, you've got the tat to prove it! :D

Thanks!! I appreciate it!!! The Cars have always been my strong suit!!! Now that I am illustrating some of the Hot Rod Magazines,it is starting to pay off!! I love to try to bring the cars to life, makes it fun!!!

I have designed all of my Tats. I have a Shark on one arm, an Indian Tribal Skull on the other, The Clone & Bones on one leg, and a Bigfoot, with Footprints walking around my calf on the other. (The Bigfoot Tat was one thing they had to show on the Discovery Channel documentary I was in) I think long and hard before getting one, cause they are forever!!!! There is no doubt, I am a Star Wars fan now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone commented once that the Clones were bad, why would I want one on my leg. I had to respond that this Clone represents the time when the Clones were the Heroes of the Grand Army, working hand in hand with the Jedi!!! Works for me!!!!!!

Nice Tattoo. I never had any desire to get one myself, but if I did it probably would be a SW tattoo. Maybe I could have the pic I did of "Luke Meditating" tattoed on. ;)

Nah, I am sure my husband wouldn't appreciate that. :p

    Nice job!
