    Three observations:

    1. The Guiness/McGregor casting is every bit as effective as the Godfather Saga's Brando/DeNiro offering.

    2. Kershner is fully deserving of the accolades, infusing Lucas's stock characters with an astounding force of personality.

    3. Having been given a tidier script, Christensen's Anakin emerges as a credibly unhinged personage.

    What I like the most about him is the unique mixture of "Man! What are you doing?!?!?" and "Well, I understand him" moments.
    2. Luke Skywalker
    I like his growth and therefore especially his ROTJ persona.
    3. Padmé Amidala
    Not a popular choice, but what appeals to me is the timeless private vs. professional conflict she portrays.

    I always found Han Solo to be kinda boring. Even when I was a child.

    My appreciation for Max Rebo stems from the fact that there is less footage of him on the newer versions of ROTJ and I used to love Lapti Nek, but I wont go into that here.
