Alright, since the fav movies thread was a hit, we can have a little holiday fun. Whether Christmas, Chanakua, or Kwanza, we all have our favorites. :) If anyone puts the SW Holiday Special, you are either really hardcore SW fan, or just plain crazy. Bea Arthur is too much to look at, yet way too much to have to hear her sing!! EWWWW!! :p

Alright, here are my top 10:

    1. White Christmas (who dosen't love the "Sisters" act!!!!???!!!)
    2. Rudolph (I want to be a dentist!!)
    3. Christmas Story
    4. National Lampoons Christmas
    5. Peanut's Christmas (Poor little tree!!)
    6. Bells of St. Mary (Bing on there twice!!)
    7. It's a Wonderful Life
    8. Santa Claus is Coming to Town
    9. Scrooged
    10. Die Hard (Well, it happens during X-mas.) [face_devil]

I pretty much agree with chris and steve's movies. And really there aren't that many other christmas movies that are that good. Wait I got one more, 'Jack Frost' Not the one where the dad turns into a snowman but the one where the serial killer turns into a snowman :D that movie was hilarious.

    OK- here are mine:

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (Can I refill your eggnog, Eddie? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere, leave you for dead?")

A Christmas Story ("In the heat of battle, my father wove a tapestry of obscenities that, as far as we know, still looms in space over Lake Michigan.")

    It's A Wonderful Life

Better Off Dead ("Do you have Christmas in France? You know....Chrismas....Chwismus...") (I chose this one because it's a cult movie in my family, and that one year, my siblings actually gave me frozen dinners for Christmas as a gag. I still laugh as they all said in unison as I opened each one, "This one has corn. He likes corn.")

Miracle on 34th Street (The old version- you know, before Natalie Wood even ever heard of Robert Wagner, a.k.a. the Ted Kennedy of Hollywood.)

Scrooged ("But I want to see her nipples! I bet Charles Dickens would want to see her nipples, too!)

Oh, wait.... I forgot a good holiday film....

    The Ref.

There should be more Christmas movies starring Dennis Leary.

    Really.

I always think of that line from The Ref that he says to the overbearing mother:

"Your husband's not dead, lady. He's hiding."

And I've always wanted one of those wreaths with the candles in it to wear on Christmas. Of course, considering my complete clumsiness and general ineptitude, I'd accidentally set fire to the house.

Top 10 so here I go:

    1. Gremlins
    2. A Christmas Story
    3. Scrooged
    4. National Lampoons Christmas
    5. Look Who's Talking Now (The movie ended with Christmas)
    6. The Grinch Who Stole Christmas
    7. Frosty the Snowman
    8. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer
    9. Ghostbusters II
    10. The Shining (OK so it wasnt so much of a Christmas movie but it was winter!)

I guess The Empire Strikes Back starting off on the ice planet Hoth kind of always gave me that Christmas feel also... if only chewy would have put decorations and lights on the blown-up probe droid.

Yeah, it is hard to think of ten good holiday flicks, isn't it? But at least you got the best two in your list!!! (i.e.- Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story!!)
