You didn't go for the obvious, they ripped off Orlando Bloom from the movie!
Pirates was iffy for me but I still think it'll hold up the test of time. We'll see.
You're interrupting my creating my top 10 music list. This is going to take me days at this point. Well, see ya all later...

aaarrrhh. How could I have forgotten Oceans Eleven!
So which one should I take off to replace it? Why should I have to remove a movie? Let's just add one more and make it, yep, that's right "Eleven".
I will substitute though the Princess Bride and replace with Breakfast at Tiffany's. If you won't let me edit my list You're all just super rats.

You can always morph your list. Brandon mentioned it somewhere above- the list is just a snapshot of you when you wrote it. The lion's share will likely retain a lot of the same character and will still reveal your tastes.

Ok then, well my top 10 artists are but not in particular order of preference:

    1) Ray Charles
    2) Nina Simone
    3) Norah Jones
    4) Louis Armstrong
    5) Bryan Adams
    6) David Bowie
    7) Billy Joel
    8) Tracey Chapman
    9) Enya
    10) Annie Lenox

I have countless others but these are in the top 10, today at least. Top 10 songs are much harder to whittle down.

NOTE: If you wish to view the pictures and they do not show up within the message, take your mouse, left click on the box and drag it to your address bar at the top of the screen. It will then load them.

So, I am going to do my Top 10 Best Looking Actresses List. Now, this could get complicated because we need to limit ourselves to actual people in film/television. There have been many singers, for example, that have appeared once or twice in movies, but, to me, that does not make them an actor/actress. While I hate to say it, and I know Campbell agrees, I will not put Bjork on this list even though she appeared in "Dancer in the Dark." Also, while I do not mind people listing somewhat obscure actors and actresses, I'd ask people to not make them TOO far out there; it should not be difficult for others to easily look this person up. Again, I'd like to say that this has nothing to do with acting ability (that can be another list perhaps), but this is strictly a looks department here. So, of course, lists will vary in a major way amongst everyone who creates one. I am going to include one picture each. I want to include more, but these will do for now. Here we go:

    1.) Emily Watson

    [image=http://www.geocities.com/pikaroth76/emilywatson1.jpg]

    2.) Samantha Morton

    3.) Isabella Rossellini

This one wasn't too hard for me. Like any red-blooded American male I call this list up from memory all too often. The most beautiful female actors as seen through my spectacles are:

    Ashley Judd
    Asia Argento
    Natalie Portman
    Kiera Knightley
    Uma Thurman
    Famke Janssen
    Sandra Bullock
    Angie Harmon
    Selma Blair
    Catherine Zeta-Jones

with apologies for just missing the cut, to:

    Jessica Alba
    Claire Forlani
    Kari Wuhrer
    Ani Difranco

Which brings up another of my favorite topics, The Freebie List. Perhaps the most significant contribution the show "Friends" ever made to Western culture is the concept of keeping a list of five generally unattainable celebrities which, if met, you can sleep with, without offending your significant other. For example, if I ever met Ashley Judd, and she were amenable, it should be completely accepted by my girlfriend/wife at the time, for Ashley and me to spend a night. This is assuming I allowed my lady to have a similar list. Interestingly, Brandon's choice, Isabella Rossellini, plays a pivotal role in the episode that brought up this list. To see my Freebie List, see the top five names of the top ten above. -Campbell

I'd like to point out that a few on Campbell's list almost made my list. Ones that probably would have been in a "Top 20" would be: Asia Argento, Famke Janssen, and, maybe, Ashley Judd. Selma Blair, while overly cute, probably would not make my list.

I'm still confused as to the seemingly popular appeal of Kiera Knightley. I really am. Her face literally looks like it is melting or something, too droopy. I like Sandra Bullock's nose but nothing else about her at all. I kinda feel bad for her in that her career came and went quicker than the Road Runner.

I'd also like like to say that some think that I believe Natalie Portman is ugly. Let me come clean and tell people that no, I do not, think she is ugly, but she is not NEARLY as attractive as I thought she would have been. When you see her in Leon (her best movie, I might add), you see a young actress that you think will grow up to be something, be in high profile movies AND turn out to be rather attractive. Sadly, contrary to what Star Wars' fans like to think, she really is not even close to a high profile actress, she's not well known, and I doubt we'll see her in any "big movie" after Episode III. Her looks, too, are not where they should be. The older she gets the worse she looks. I don't think she's UGLY, not by any means, but, again, not at all attractive. It's more of one of those, "Hrmp, why aren't you better looking?" type of things.

Ok here is my list of Top Ten Actors (based on looks).

You see the pictures?!?! I am so confused. I do not see them, just broken links, if I click on them, I get an error. I have to literally drag them to the address bar and THEN they load. Stefanie, too, had the same problem. I tried from work today and encountered the same issue.

So you seem them just fine? Even MORE confused now.

TEST - Christian Bale, Stefanie's second favorite, and Emily Watson, my favorite:

Okay, new list. Top ten people in show business you thought would be bigger by now. By that I mean, they caught your eye once upon a time and you thought to yourself, "Hey, one day, this guy/gal will be HUGE! This person has a bright future ahead of them."

    1. Bruce Campbell (actor)

The man with the chin floundered in B-movies for the bulk of his career. He has great comic timing and action hero good looks (well, he used to anyway). Why he never exploded is beyond me.

    2. Stephen Dorff (actor)

He was a charismatic bad ass in films such as S.F.W. and Blade, but now he's stuck in such dreck as FearDotCom and Cold Creek Manor. What happened?

    3. Phoebe Cates (actress)

The object of everyone's fantasy in Fast Times at Ridgemont High and the plucky girl next door in Gremlins, Phoebe followed up her early success with . . . Drop Dead Fred? Being married to Kevin Kline (lucky bastard) must be most fulfilling since she's completely dropped off the radar since.

    4. Natalie Portman (actress)

Brandon mentioned this earlier and I totally agree: Natalie Portman, despite her being in the Star Wars films, isn't hot anymore. I don't mean lookswise either. I mean her career. She was so vibrant in Leon: The Professional, the only good thing about Beautiful Girls, and she gave respectable turns in films such as Heat, Everyone Says I Love You, and Mars Attacks!. I don't know that signing up to be in the prequel trilogy was such a good idea for her, but I can't fault a 14-year old for making that decision. Still, I definitely thought she'd have a more interesting and varied career at this point.

    5. Judith Tarr (author)

She's still an active fantasy author, but her debut Hound and the Falcon trilogy way back in 1985/1986 simply amazed me. While friends were reading The Lord of the Rings, I was reading this. She deftly throws rounded and interesting characters into magical worlds full of great historical detail. I was honestly floored the first time I read these books as a wee lad and I always harbored some hope that she'd be a well known author someday and that these books might one day find their way to the big screen. Neither has happened, and she has yet to match that early success of hers, but I still have the books and I reread them about once a year.

    6. Michael Biehn (actor)

    The Terminator

    Aliens

    The Abyss

Michael Biehn was great in all three movies. All three were written and directed by James Cameron. Michael Biehn has had an unremarkable career outside of these films. What does James Cameron know that the rest of Hollywood doesn't? Biehn had turns in Navy SEALs, K2, Tombstone, and The Rock, but he never commanded the screen like he did under James Cameron's direction. And since Cameron seemingly doesn't make movies anymore, neither does Biehn.

    7. Garbage (musicians)

Their debut album sold 4 million copies worldwide. I was an instant fan. The flame dimmed a bit with their second album, Version 2.0, but I loved the album just as much as the first one and thought, okay, the next album will break them out as A players. Unfortunately, beautifulgarbage fizzled, a huge departure from the previous two albums. They are due to release their 4th album later this year. Will it hit or stay underground? Only time will tell.

    8. Winona Ryder (actress)

Her early career was captivating. She showed so much promise that I was certain she would simply explode as an adult actress (as in an actress who is not a child anymore, not a porn star :p ). But like Natalie Portman, she seems to have lost her bit of fire and settled for bland turns in bland movies. Early career highlights: Lucas, Beetlejuice, Heathers, Great Balls of Fire!, Edward Scissorhands, Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Age of Innocence, Reality Bites, Little Women. She had quite a career in her late teens, early twenties. But now: How to Make an Americ

I will work on my list, along with working on my Top 10 Music Video List, too. I am glad you have Natalie Portman on there. There seem to be countless people that believe Portman is actually some type of "big" actress in Hollywood, some known entity. Sadly, she is not, and I don't see her career going that way. She's a wet dream for male, and some female, Star Wars' fans and nothing more.

Decent list, though. I will work on mine.

Okay, the following is my Top 10 Music Videos List. Some stuff to point out, of course: This is *not* my Top 10 Songs List. I take into account the song, the video, the meaning behind the video, and, in the end, just how much I enjoy watching it for various reasons. These videos can be watched, literally, countless times and new meaning comes to mind every time. I could, and have, spoken to people about them for hours. Here we go:

    1. Sweet Dreams - The Eurythmics

    2. Ya Soshla S Uma - Taty (note: this is their
    Russian name; in most of
    the world they are known
    as t.A.T.u., and this
    video is entitled "All
    the Things She Said."
    While the video is great,
    the Russian version is
    superior)

    3. Hurt - Johnny Cash

    4. Safety Dance - Men Without Hats

    5. Land of Confusion - Genesis

    6. Good Riddance - Greenday

    7. Material Girl - Madonna

    8. Tonight, Tonight - Smashing Pumpkins

    9. Like a Prayer - Madonna

    10. We Didn't Start the Fire - Billy Joel

I'd also like to say that if you want to make up your own top 10 list for any subject, do SO!

    1. Fifty Ways to Leave your Lover (Paul Simon)
    2. In your Eyes (Peter Gabriel)
    3. What a Wonderful World (L. Armstrong)
    4. This Kiss (Faith Hill)
    5. Don't Know Why (Norah)
    6. Come Away With Me (Norah)
    7. Turn Me On (Norah)
    8. Nearness of You (yes, I'm a Norah Jones fan= fanatic)
    9. Behind the Wall (Tracey Chapman)

I finally (sort of) completed my top 10 list. Yes, I know #10 is missing. I am searching to see which of my other favorites will fill that slot & looking up titles & Groups/Singers. I've left out the instrumentals & classical because those are a separate group for me. So I know you were all waiting breathlessly for my list and now here it is. Sorry it took so long. I think I need to think of other Top 10 favorites to post but let's not neglect the poor January post. Keep them both alive!

Ok #10 (last but never least):
Once in a Lifetime - Talking Heads

I always feel happy listening to that song. Such wonderful music AND some of the lyrics mirror my life.

Thank you Campbell for getting me the title. I was looking for "Letting the days go by" or "Same as it ever was".

Now I'm finished with this top 10, time to work on the next one.
