[If someone has a list for non-US cities please add it to the thread! I'd love to see one.]

Its not a list, but close enough :p

Anyways, I'd discount Toronto from being atop any such list for the same reason I can't put Atlanta at #1 - and Toronto had back to back WS victories in there.

Toronto thinks it's the centre of the Universe.

Nashville's NHL team does okay, from what I've seen. Of course, Tennessee is a state that loves it's wrestlin' and fightin' in any form, so there's probably a reason for that.

This year, I'd put Memphis up here... hell, we can't even GET good teams. And when we do have them, lose them soon...

Is there a reason this thread is confined to the USA? Does the rest of the world smell or something?

The original Yahoo list that started this thread was a US-based list. But other cities can certainly be discussed here, too.

This thread is somewhat interesting to read now in that the Phillies went on to win the World Series.

Toronto may get dragged down due to the long futility of the Leafs, but most people around here can still remember the good Blue Jays years from 1985-1993. Also, the Argonauts have won three Grey Cups in the last twelve years (last one in 2004), and best of all, the Toronto Rock won five of the last ten National Lacrosse League titles. The last few years haven't been great for sports with losing seasons from all our teams, but once in a while, there's something to cheer about.
