My taste in music is all over the place eclectic. I like The Bends as well, it's my second favorite Radiohead album behind OK Computer. Kid A is also good.
More current top 10 for me, though a couple of those will always be top 10 for me. Night At the Opera – Queen Superunknown - Soundgarden Seldom Seen Kid - Elbow Grace- Jeff Buckley Are You Experienced - Jimi Hendrix Foiled - Blue October Once More With Feeling - Buffy Soundtrack Fleet Foxes – Fleet Foxes Fly Like An Eagle – Steve Miller Band OK Computer - Radiohead
Tom, what I like so much about Labcab is its smooth, lush sound. I remember hoping at the time that hip-hop might develop in that direction... but then Eminem happened.
I could easily have filled mine with nothing but movie soundtrack albums. I lean heavily on the musical taste of movie directors.
i did mine really quick. i think if i would have thought about it very much i would have found it impossible too.
That's like saying you have no taste of your own I have only two movie soundrack albums: "Godfather II" and "Hair".
Goddammit, every time I try to make a proper list I hit ten before I even get to the letter "G" in my alphabetical by artist list. So then I tried to make a Top 10 only using Bob Dylan and still failed. Ditto Jethro Tull, Miles Davis, the Alan Parsons Project, Frank Zappa, and even Captain Beefheart because he had 11 albums. Consequently I'm pleased to present: Ramza's Completely Not Definitive Top Ten Studio Albums On Which Steve Albini Played Guitar Songs About ****ing - Big Black Atomizer (aka Earth. Atomizer. Let's Go.) - Big Black At Action Park - Shellac Bulldozer - Big Black Two Nuns and Pack Mule - Rapeman Futurist - Shellac 1000 Hurts - Shellac Racer-X - Big Black Terraform - Shellac Lungs - Big Black
Mix of all time favorites and ones I'm simply digging right now The Hold Steady - Boys and Girls in America Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II (could easily be IV though) The Gaslight Anthem - '59 Sound The Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street Pearl Jam - Ten The Who- Who's Next The Replacements - Let it Be Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction Japandroids - Celebration Rock (almost certainly not an all timer, but I've been loving it since the summer. Album of the year for me) AC/DC - Back in Black
Off the top of my head, in no particular order. Time Out of Mind - Bob Dylan The Rising - Bruce Springsteen Sticky Fingers - The Rolling Stones Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys The Mission - Ennio Morricone Les Miserables - Original London Cast The Jesus Record - Rich Mullins & a Ragamuffin Band Violator - Depeche Mode After that, I don't know that I can pick.
