Hey everybody, I was in Tuscon this last weekend, and was able to see a movie called The Great Raid. Very good film, you should all see it if you have the chance.

For the "Blood, Guts & Glory"

    Patton

    We Were Soldiers

    Saving Private Ryan

    Das Boot

    Glory

For the "seemingly insane commander is gonna get us killed"

    12 0'clock High

    The Caine Mutiny

    Paths of Glory

    Run Slient, Run Deep

For the "war can be funny, ha ha ha..."

    Mother Goose

    The Great Escape

    The Africa Queen

    Mister Roberts

And would Japanese samurai movies count? Or is that another thread?

And I think I'll leave with " NO! I Am Spartacus!"

    1. Tae Guk Gi - Movie filmed in Korean about the Korean War.
2.Downfall - Movie filmed in Germany (in german) about the last few days of WW2
    3. We Were Soldiers
4.Gettysburg - because I know alot of the reenactors in it, and my unit was in it
    5. Zvezda - Movie about a WW2 Russian Scout/Recon group. Filmed in Russian. One of the FEW movies I have seen that is dead on for russian ww2 impressions.
