Speculation Top 5 Predictions for 2013

I don't think Avengers 2 gets pushed. Scheduling opening weekends is complicated, and other movies from other studios have probably claimed other big weekends. Ep 7 is more likely to win a weekend from another studio tent pole than Avengers, so don't be surprised if Disney puts SW outside of May for the first time.

1. Pure excitement to lead up.

2. Lead up ends, Teaser trailer released at Midnight.

3. Next few hours there is a strain on internet, resulting in both mayhem and joygasms.

4. We're all kids again, regardless of age.

5. Spend next few short hours deciding which lie to use to call out of work/finally sleep.

 

It's looking more and more like Episode VII won't even start full production until next year, so here's my revised prediction for 2013:

• Director confirmation.
• Maybe one or two cast confirmations (most likely Mark Hammil).

The rest of the year will consist mostly of interviews with Kennedy, Lucas, Hammil (if he's even confirmed), etc, discussing screenplay progress, the Disney merger, the thrill of making new Star Wars films, and blah, blah, blah. Basically nothing we haven't heard before. 2014, on the other hand, is going to be a smorgasbord of Episode VII juiciness!

 

Teaser might be a little early, but that would be cool.

 

Man, you're really pushing your baseless 2014 theory, hardcore. There's absolutely no evidence to suggest or support it, but keep it up -- you might convince one or two.

 

That's the most likely prediction I've seen. I work over night. I can watch it once the bars clear out.

I already made my predictions for 2013, but here's another prediction.

Though the teaser trailer will probably come out in the winter of 2014, I predict that the full trailer will debut during the 2015 Super Bowl.

Yes, Disney will pay for 2 1/2 minutes of airtime during the Super Bowl. They have Star Wars, Avengers, and POTC coming out in 2015, all of which will probably make at least a billion a piece. Money does not concern them, they want that airtime, not excuses.
