I was only half watching it because I was talking to Pat at the same time but I was howling when he was trying to turn the caravan around and then the police turned up :D

They truly hate caravans, they were at High Edge Raceway a few years back filming the caravan racing (by racing I mean once around the track then totally obliterated) and I remember hearing them cheering from the other side of the track everytime one of the caravans turned into debris!

Hammond seems to like blowing them up on Braniac too, which is another brilliant program ;)

Coloured over for those that haven't seen it: Did he really have an AK47, or was it just a prop?

    The whole show was great.

Again for the ones who haven't seen it (highlight to read)

I think you'll find it was either a toy or a replica air rifle, you can buy them easily on the interenet as even I want one :p

I was annoyed at the fake segment of them setting fire to the caravan, then the mysterious tent next door.

Stop the crap and stick with the genuine car related segments.

The stuff about the caravan was fine and amsuing (especially the three point turn), but there was no need for the fake ending.

I've been serious about getting an ST220, and I might get one now that Clarkson gave it the nod.

I must say Clarkson's speed obsession is a little dangerous.

Saying people should buy the Vectra just cos it can go 160mph. Where exactly is one going to be able to go that speed if one does not own and air strip or a big piece of road?

If they review ordinary cars the public can actually afford, they should mention points that the public can actually use

but then it would be "5th gear" and ultimately boring. clarkson's speed addiction is what makes top gear what it is: brilliant tv.

I've no trouble with him liking fast cars, so do I
And it's fine if he's driving a massively expensive sports car.

But he is basically encouraging people to buy a normal road car just so they can drive it at a fast speed, which is not really a good idea.
But he likes to be controversial, and that makes him interesting

    Hamster and the Rascal

I said to the missus as they were starting the "chase" segment that the Hamsters van was not designed for cornering at speed.

I lol'd as it went over big style

It was nice to see Clarkson lose a challenge for a change.

Well, despite the fact I used to abhor this show, I'm really into it, and I loved tonight's show. The challenge was brilliant!

But I have truly seen the light. Top Gear kicks ass!!!!!!!!!!!

I was very impressed by James May driving up the side of a volcano with his special vodka-soaking tyres, that was cool.

I LOLd at the Reliant Robin rampage Clarkson went on. They are such bizarre cars, but I didn't realise that you only need a motorcycle license to drive them.

The death of the old Chevrolet car was cool. I liked the party thrown for the new car and getting lots of celebs to drive it in one day.

Why exactly Bentley have built a 2tonne super-fast model I don't know. Surely the people who drive Bentleys anyway are guys like Lord Alan Sugar who want to be chauffered about. Are they really going to need to go zipping about at 204mph?

Bentley was boring, but was more than made up for with the vuvuzelas!

    Everything else was excellent!!

So, Colditz Castle is now a hotel....who'd have thought it?

I was in awe of the German AA's vast office-truck they use to test cars, and the massive Canadian vehicle that allegedly wishstands gunfire for 24 hours.

I'm abit disappointed they had to change the car for the star in a reasonably priced car. All those times on the leader board gone! I suppose they can get all the same stars back on the show again now to do new laps again. That's an easy way for them to sort thier guest list!

I'm not sure Stig would've been able to finish a lap at any considerable speed in a Reliant without it tipping over. Considering the top speed of the later models was only 85 anyway and he wouldn't be able to do that round most of the track, he could've taken 10minutes to finish.

That just makes him look bad.
