Thanks...my house has gotten so weird in the last few days. My dad said he wants a divorce, and after that, he pretends everything is hunky dory again...very weird.

Really Xand? I've found your father always to be straight and to the point... 'course I've only spoken to him a couple of times...

Well, you know how to reach me.

He was straight to the point, and then after that, it was back to normal...or psuedo-normal.

Because I can't let the Krispy Kreme thing go, and because I'm getting bummed out by the other topic in this thread and want to change the subject, here's a really great article about my favorite donuts:
    http://formen.ign.com/news/27656.html

Check it out; it's pretty funny.

This is one of those topics that makes us all wonder - yet again - what universe JediJeff is really from.

If a Krispy Kreme glazed donut tastes the same to him as a glazed donut from Jewel, well... obviously some horrible catastrophe destroyed all his tastebuds at some point in his life.

Krispy Kreme glazed donuts, when still warm, are nearly as good as sex.

    ...as good as sex.

So JJ is right on the money with the Jewel doughnut remark if the sex is no good?
    :)

How the 'ell anybody could compare eating a fricking donut to having sex is beyond me...I mean, you get RID of calories in one activity, and get them with another...Not to mention that the donut is strictly a one-shot item..

DarthBoba, you just need to use a little imagination...

And don't worry. I would never suggest either one as a substitute for the other.

Although, I must point out - after either one is a gone time for a cigarette. (Or it would be if I still smoked.)

    BF, let me clarify.

An unlimited supply of warm, plain glazed only (none of those frilly donuts), Krispy Kreme donuts that have been enchanted to remove all calories therefrom (see the Harry Potter books for more information on this) - would be equivalent to really good sex with a really hot man with whom one is really in love.

Anything less on the donut end would be the equivalent of something less on the sex end.

In fact, maybe DB, unable to imagine this comparison, has had only very bad donuts or only very bad sex. Either way - bummer for him!

What's the rating on this forum, anyway? PG-13?

I think all forums are PG-13 and kids need a parents permission to use them if they are younger than that.

Donuts are very good... but, I'd stop short of saying "as good as..."

Although, bavarian creme donuts... let's just say, that's another story!

Anyway, how in the world did we get on this topic anyhow?!

Well, I'll unsteam it fast here:

I bet I can get a Krispy Kreme box, load it with donuts from KK, as well as from other locations, and less than half of the people would be able to identify the KK creations.

I'm in, too. Beware, I'm good at taste tests. At a T-Wolves game, I took the Pepsi challenge and picked Coke - as I knew I would. Take THAT Pepsi!

Well, this sure doesn't have much to do with living in Minnesota and being an SW fan..back on topic:

Do you think Han was a big donut fan? I certainly do.

DB - just wondering your basis for that opinion?

I think maybe Vader had a weakness for donuts, and that's what made him soft and led to his eventual return from the Dark Side.

Who was that masked (caped, and helmetted) man?
    The Pillsbury doughboy.

jedigal: Not really sure. Han just seems like the kinda guy who'd enjoy a good donut. I really can't see him cooking anything for breakfast, so...donuts.

Yeah, it was really the donuts that brought big DV back to the Light Side. I mean, what's so fun about being a Sith Lord when you can't even take your mask off to eat?

First thing Anakin did on his passing to the spiritual plane: Sat down with Qui, Obi, Mace, & Yoda and had some donuts & coffee. Then they played cribbage.
