    no I didn't

that sux, this weekend, my fraternity is having parents weekend, so my folks are comining up here. and I don't think they'd like it too much if I went to st. louis and didn't tell them I wouldn't be here.

man, I got to see them at the House of Blues when I was in florida last semester. they are amazing live. I actually got to hang out with them afterwards. one of my friends knew them from when they were just starting out in chicago. well, aurora if you want to be technical.
heh, I just realized that I'm wearing my LBC shirt right now. what are the odds?

    are you gonna go?

Lets see books would pretty much be the NJO in no particular order. I don't do a whole lot of reading for fun, so thats it for books.

    Movies
10 I guess by default LOTR has to go in here somewhere, so here it is.
    9 The end of Evangelion
    8 Freddy got fingered
    7 Super troopers
    6 Spaceballs
    5 Hackers
    4 The original Matrix
3 Every other Kevin Smith movie
    2 Clerks
1 Any of theStar Wars movies

I would like to point out that after the top 3 it doesn't really matter what order the rest are.

    Bands
    10 Coal Chamber
    9 ACDC
    8 Led Zepplin
    7 John Williams
    6 Pre-1992 Metallica
    5 Ozzy
    4 Slipknot
    3 Static-X
    2 Rammstein
    1 Black Sabbath

I didn't list bands, but one of favorites is Van Halen. I also love Sammy Hagar, liked VH with Roth, but loved them with Sammy. Needless to say I was crushed when they parted ways. I just heard at lunch that they are getting back together for a limited summer concert tour. July 28th is the St. Louis date. I will be attending. I've seen VH with Sammy 5 times, once with Roth, and have seen Sammy solo 7 times (once in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico) they put on a great show.

Tickets go on sale Sat. 10:30am. I believe I heard $87 for seats and $57 for lawn.

Any other VH fans in here?

Oh yeah, the point! Here's my top ten concerts.

    1.Van Halen (w/Sammy 5150 tour)
2.Sammy @ the Cabo Wabo Cantina (imagine smaller than Mississippi Nights size club, very small, very "intimate")
    3.Rush
4.Yes (their catalog is huge and they've got some of the most talented musicians)
    5.Foo Fighters/Green Day
6.Live/Weezer/Fatima Mansions @ the American theater (great venue)
7.Red Hot Chili Peppers @ Mississippi Nights back in like '86 or '87(they still weren't huge yet, high intensity show)
8.Camper Van Beethoven @ Mississippi Nights
9.Kiss (it's a childhood thing, but seeing the originals play in full make-up gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside) (or maybe it was the alcohol)
10.Alice in Chains - I didn't really care for them too much until I saw them in concert, great live show.

What in the world are you guys talking about??

Also Shoey VanRoth>VanHagar everytime. I just don't get St. Louis' obsession with Hagar. I don't dislike him, but he's not my favorite either. Com'on who else could sing the gigalo song like Roth?

I let their work as solo artists speak for their talent. (And their work with VH for that matter.)

I think the St. Louis thing w/him is easy to explain. He loves St. Louis. When you show some love, you get some love! His last album, the live one, has roughly 75% of it recorded at the UMB Pavillion.

    4. Disney's Beauty and the Beast
    5. Carebears (both 1 & 2)
    6. The Cipmunk Adventure

    5. Arsenic and Old Lace (Cary Grant and dead bodies in the celler, need I say more?)
    6. Ghost Busters (Both 1 & 2, I know this could go under a few catagories but I thought it best suited for comedy)
    7. Coming to America
    8. Roman Holiday
    9. The Philadelphia Story
    10. Beetlejuice

    Science Fiction
    1. STAR WARS (all, duh!)
    2. The Matrix (all)
    3. The Fifth Element (one of the weirdest movies ever made, I Love It!)
    4. Unbreakable (not really Scifi, but I didn't know where else to put it)
    5. X-men (havn't seen 2 yet, but I think I'd like it)
