For Conversion 22, is anyone just staying at the hotel? I vaguely remember hearing something about that...

 

I plan to stay at the hotel Friday and Saturday nights of Conversion. There will probably be room parties and other after-hour activities to partake in.

Yes. Apparently nude skinny dipping is big with some Con-goers. I prefer the boozin' and carousin' myself.

 

I am staying at the hotel too! I do hope there are some fun parties.

Considering I'm just cruising in from Kelowna that weekend, it looks like the hotel the option for me too.

 

I just booked my room at the hotel. Now what have the previous conversion parties been like? Dancing elves? Drunken klingons? Games of strip sabacc?

 

i cant wait for conversion.. my armours in getting a new paint job just for the occasion. I hope it's a cool day, Vader is not very cool on a hot day.

 

I have a question about the conversion 22. Do you need to book a hotel room or purchase a membership in order to go?

 

Yunafix - You must purchase a membership in order to go, but, depending on whether you want a single day pass, or the entire weekend, there are different levels you can purchase.

As for hotel rooms, you don't *have* to book a room if you have somewhere else in the city to stay. Many people who live in Calgary do so, because it's more convenient for costume changes and "crash space" during a long day of Fandom-related events.

For those who aren't getting rooms, I'll offer my room as daytime crash space while I'm there, and if you like, spare costume storage.
