Beyond - Legends Total Eclipse of the Heart (Anakin/Tahiri/Jacen poem/songfic)

I don't own Star Wars and I'm making no money off this. Also, to give due credit, the last three lines are taken from Bonnie Tyler?s song of the same title. This poem was inspired by "Que Vuelvas" by Shakira, which is why some of my phrasing is weirdly reminiscent of the lyrics to that song (mangled after I finished wrangling with the Spanish syntax).

I have named the stars and counted droplets of rain
I have invented language and renounced paradise
I have cauterized time?s wounds and sealed my grief with ashes
I have forgotten how to remember, ever since I lost you

I have seen the death of dance and song and poetry
When we were children, the seashore was awash in gold
How did it all turn into waves of bitterness
Rivers of blood
Cataracts of loneliness?
What do I tell the whole world as they watch me tumble to the ground
