Tournament - Best Sci-Fi Character (BRACKETS ANNOUNCED!!!)

Welcome to the first part of our Best Character tournament. This tournament will decide who or what is the Best Character from a Sci-Fi related show or movie. There are currently 64 slots open. Please follow standard nomination procedures. 4 nods to a post and no back to back nomination posts by the same user. Character must be regulars or semi-regular if TV show. If they come from a movie, they must be a credited character for some screentime.

The first 64 unique nominations will be entered and shuffled around by Moleman in appropriate brackets. Please provide pictures if possible.

just out of curiosity wouldn't it be better to have one tourney for TV and one for Movies? there are a lot of characters out there If not separate tourneys maybe expand to more than 64?

I'm seeing a lot of, shall we say, chronological myopia here. Nearly everything nominated could have been seen on TV within the last week. Surely our collective knowledge stretches back a little further? Do we really have no love for anything pre-1999? Sci fi predates the DVD you know.
