    ? The second book of the trilogy was highly enjoyable. I do not think that Zahn's Duology tipped the original trilogy. But between the two, this particular book was better for me.

    Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader

    Since I dislike Star By Star rather intensely, I can't very well vote for it ;) Plus, Dark Lord was just a better book.

    I too must go with Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader this time around. Not because I severely dislike the other one though. ;)

    Initially I was very disappointed with Dark Lord, but the ending is so good it redeems the rest of the book.

    Regardless....

    Star by Star is the superior piece of work.
