Is it just me, or does it seem asinine to abstain from voting when we need votes?

 

When I either have no knowledge of the characters, or can't possibly come up with a preference between the two, the only sensible thing to do is abstain. It would be much sillier to vote when you don't actually have a preference than to abstain.

As for the "abstain on everything" votes, like my last round, that can be pretty much to say, "Wow, what a bad lineup!"

Abstaining makes total sense, and I don't see anything wrong with it. I'd much rather people abstain than choose between two characters when they've never seen the source for either on the sole basis of a picture and a Wikipedia article.

Afraid not. Still... Usagi's not my favorite SM character. Just doesn't do it for me like Ami or Makoto or Hotaru, my three favorite.

 

Well, I agree. She's not exactly my favorite character, either. I mean, as far as the anime goes, she's near the very bottom of that list. Even with PGSM, in which her characterization is dramatically different and portrayed in a very more mature way, she's still behind a couple others for the "favorite" crown.

If you're interested in knowing, my favorite characters are Makoto and Rei in the anime, and Kunzite, Zoicite, Rei, Minako, Dark Mercury and (lord help me) Human Luna in PGSM.

But while she may not be my favorite character, she's certainly the most well known anime in general (and Sailor Moon in particular) character. And I had no doubt that, going against another opponent, she would have gone by.

Like I said, though, we've got the other Inner Senshi to go through, plus Hotaru and the remaining three ****ennou, so I'm not that grumpy about Usagi losing.
