Out of your 8 nominations, 2 I absolutely agree with. 2 I think are pretty good. The other 4 are good scores, but out of their league here for a tournament with only 128 nominations.

 

Well, I was under the impression this was a "favorite" film scores, not "best" film scores tournament.

And anyway, I doubt many here have heard a lot of my favorite scores, so they'll be weeded out pretty quickly once the voting begins.

Well alot of my favorites happen to be the best. But there are some that are considered classics that I really don't care for. Though I respect them. I won't mention them in fear that someone might nominate them though.

 

Fair enough. But, I just hope this doesn't become a thread where only the so-called "classics" can be considered for greatness. That makes for a fairly stale tournament, IMO, when all the usual suspects are nominated and nothing outside of the "classic" sphere is given a chance.

I've got a bracket generated (courtesy random.org) and I'll post the bracket ASAP.

edit: OK, the random generation worked quite well. The only rule I had going in was that all first-round matchups would be between different composers. There were only two conflicts (both John Williams). I generated a second random list, and simply switched the first two that came up with the conflicts.

I'll post the bracket in a minute or so, and the voting can begin!
