Never really liked the music to Rocky, and Magnificent Seven is iconic, and awe-inspiring.

The Third Man ? Anton Karas (1949)
Sympathy vote. :p I actually like TPM better, but the Third Man deserves at least one vote, as the Zither is cool. :p

EDIT: Had to give the Third Man a vote. It's one of the greats.

But choosing between Sunset Boulevard and the Red Violin was difficult. But the haunting and dramatic nature of the Red Violin moves me every single time I listen to it.

This was such a neat score, the opening titles were probably the best of the whole movie, including the oompa loompa songs.

I've said it probably twice and I'll say it a third time: This is still the most richly thematic Star Wars score. Perfectly deserving of the title Star Wars in my books.

~Elfman will get enough votes, and this is a beautiful score.

The Red Violin - John Corigliano (1998)

The Magnificent Seven - Elmer Bernstein (1960)

The Phantom Menace - John Williams (1999)
~people are voting for The Third Man? I hated that score! It didn't fit the film at all, to me (though I wasn't the biggest fan of the film, either).

I have to admit, I'm a bit surprised that Princess Mononoke is losing. I like Charlie and the Chocolate factory, but Mononoke has such a special beauty to it. Ah well...

Looking over the tournament, I just realized there's only one score I've never heard and it's the one going up against Gone With The Wind. I shall have to investigate this score before the time to vote on it occurs. It's the least I could do.
