Tournament Suggestion Thread

Maybe a best film quote (non-SW) tournament.

 

I'd like a movie quote tournament, a big one, no star wars quotes allowed obviously.

 

I don't know if it's been done, but I'd like to see a "Best Shots of the Star Wars Saga" tournament. People nominate their favorite shots by posting screencaps (probably as links), then we vote. Much like the current "Best Lines" tournament.

 

I don't know if you're taking suggestions for the next tournament yet, but how about a "Films Starring Star Wars Actors" tournament? There are so many great movies that could be among the nominees: Lawrence of Arabia, all three Lord of the Rings films, Schindler's List, Moulin Rouge, all three Indiana Jones films... I think it could be a lot of fun.

How about a best Simpsons episode tournament?

 

DVD Covers Tournament

Basing on the artwork and not the actual film. I can think of 64 great covers off the top of my head, excellent for contention.

 

That would be easy to view, but a bit too esoteric, I think.

 

Soooo what about my Simpsons idea thingy?

 

Thie thing about Simpsons episodes is that it can be difficult to distinguish between some of them and the various sub-plots.

 

How about best Simpsons character, then?

 

What's the point? We all know Hans Moleman would win.

 

I think it would be a good competition. Professor Frink, Milhouse, Apu, Willie, Lionel Hutz, Ralph, etc. are all good contenders. I think we can come up with 64 characters for a nice tournament.

I see what you mean, though I don't think it would be too big of a problem. Whatever, best character is a good suggestion and I'd be happy with that.

I think we should have a tournament for best actors/actresses, movie scores, movie scenes, or movie heroes/villians.
