Abq Toys For Tots 2004

Alrighty! Got some information from Earl (abqscout) about the joint Toys for Tots drive between the USS Anasazi crew and Mos Alba:

The two locations will be the Wall Marts at Coors Bypass & Ellison on the west side and the one on Eubank south of I40.

The dates will be, Nov. 26-28 and Dec. 11 & 12. We are wanting everyone who will be volunteering to sign up for a shift(s) on the day(s) they will be volunteering so we know how much coverage we have.

Schedule:
Fri. Nov. 26:
(0700)0800-1200
1100-1500

Sat. Nov. 27:
0800-1200
1100-1500

Sun. Nov. 28:
0800-1200 (may go later depending on the draw)

Sat. Dec. 11:
0800-1200
1100-1500

Sun. Dec. 12:
0800-1200 (may go later depending on the draw)

2pm-10pm. Location TBA.

I think I can do December 11th. School will be through for the semester.

 

Don't feel like you have to do all day, or even all of each block. If you can only sign up for an hour or so, that will be good, too.

 

Yes, Bob is right. We just want to know that we have coverage. If some of you can only show up for a hour or two don't feel bad. John Roberts and I have designated ourselves as floters. We will be going where we are needed. I will be Trooping the two Saturdays but I don't know which Wall Mart I will be at on which Saturday.

I will be passing a sign up sheet around at the Oct. 17 meeting. See you all there.

I'm going to go through the boxes upong boxes of new toys I've had for ages and try to convince Lor and Varza to bring it all back with them for this. I'd rather a few kids have a joyful morning than a box of what will never be collectibles.

None of that made sense at all, but oh well!

I already have you down as a floater. I will be passing the sign up sheets around one last time at the Nov. meeting. We should be able to see where we need coverage at that point.

I would like to thank everyone for their cooperation so far. We have lots of spaces available so let me know what you would like.

We officially have permission to use both Wal-Marts. The Anasazi will be finalizing their sign up at our business meeting on the 11th. Bob are you still planning to attend? I'll give you a call tomorrow evening.

hey guys, my parents said you can still use their store on Eubank as storage and a drop off location if you want... and if you need an extra local we have a HUGE space in front of our store next to Target...

I wish I could be there but I have to work 6 days a week until the end of the christmas season...

BTW, I will be making a flier to put up in both our stores-if its okay-about the toys for tots to try and get my customers to bring in stuff!

 

I can most likely make it! out of a job right now, but I am waiting patiently to get one! so I can be available any of the days.
