No word yet. I'm not sure if I (we) will do the Colma one or the SF one.

I heard TRU are planning do it one last time.
No details yet, but I heard it has been discussed.

Why not? Last SW movie? I think it will happen.

It gets free publicity on local and national TV coverage.

Most of the SW3 campaign starts on 4/2/05. Why wouldn't TRU join it?

Curious if Walmart or Target will have anything?

Some toys are being released early. At Target they had Anakin & Obi-Wan's starfighters, as well as Grievous' wheel bike.

I'm busy working on C3. Anyone want to go ahead and call different TRU's if they're actually having "Midnight Madness"?

TRU has been having a lot of problems in the last few years. It's a wonder they are still around.

I know the big TRU in NY Times Square is gearing up. Several FF groups and 501st garrisons are getting ready.

Let's see which store us and the 501st wanna hit. I'd like to get as many people at one store (in costume?) at one time. We'll see. I was thinking of the one in San Mateo on Bridgepoint. It's centralized between everyone.

Whatever store we hit. It may be it's curtain call. Toys R Us was officially sold tody for $6.6B. Expect store closings to come.

Closing TRUs???!!!! Say it ain't so!! First K-B, now this - Where is a serious toy addict supposed to go for a fix?? ;)

San Mateo is fine for me, but just to play devil's advocate: is there a good chance of seeing G Lucas & Co at the San Rafael store ?

Looks like the next morning, April 2nd, you may want to line-up at Target for an exclusive Darth vader figure:

    Target Prepares For Revenge
Posted by Curto on March 16, 2005:

It's all in the cards at your local Target stores this spring!

First up, collectors should check their mailboxes towards the end of March, as Target stores will be sending out coupons via direct mail. Bring this coupon in to your local Target store and receive $1 off every Star Wars action figure purchased.

Next, here is the ticket that fans will need to purchase the exclusive Darth Vader (Lava Reflection) collector's edition figure. Stores will receive as many as 48 of the figures and tickets will be handed out to collectors the morning of April 2nd with a limit of 1 per guest. Price per figure is $12.99.

Also, in addition to the exclusive figures there will be an exclusive gift card featuring Darth Vader with a light up lightsaber and what appears to be some kind of voice chip.

Finally, in regards to the Revenge of the Sith merchandise that has already leaked to stores and made it to the salesfloor, as of last Friday there is a direction to hold all products until April 2nd. Distribution centers are not authorized to ship any products until March 24th.

Our target doesn't have ANY action SW figures at all!! The have 2, literally 2... of the bigger ones designed for littler kids. What a jip!!!

The TRU seems a bit better, but they don't have a very big section at all (it's like 2 feet wide haha)

I think I need to take a trek over the hill!! I tend to do ebay, but the shipping is a pain.

I've been to four Targets in the last week and they have NO Star Wars toys whatsoever. I think they were told to clear shelves until Apr. 2, when the ROTS toys come in, as well as the exclusive Vader figure. Hence, the reason they sent the reminder coupons in the mail in the first place.
