I will say this - if SAFF was a registered 'club' like PARSEC (well, not 'like' PARSEC, but any registered club) we would be contacted first in case of events or promo stuff like this.

I wonder why they got in touch with Steve first? I wonder why Steve didn't get in touch with SAFF (does he know of our existence?)? I wonder why we can't all work together? (I'll go pick daisies in the garden now and sing kumbayah ;) )

I'll be there still, could be fun (although Target are providing me with all my SW needs at the moment).

I doubt Steve knows of our existance....and I doubt he'd care. Sorry....

Which I guess could be considered a shame, but I think we're (collectively) doing a smashing job 'on our own'.

Roll on the next two months!

when parsec did exist, it was on it's own too....unlike Starwalking in Victoria and NSW who've always had wonderfully open communication between themselves and other clubs around Australia....and they're still going strong.

I hate the infighting bull****. We're all Star Wars fans, why can't we all just get along? Not that that's happening on here - I know a few of us 'visit' other forums and have friends in there......Just a reflection on what did happen with Parsec, and let's not let it happen here, yeah?

Just my thoughts anyway.....no offence intended to anyone.
    :)

There was only ever one person with an aversion to having links to Starwalking - Mr.A. He believes/d that they were **** stirrers & tried to do things under the guise of LFL blessings. Who knows the truth anyway ? Can't see why if they're keen to have an interstate chapter, why we cant do it. Maybe not as officious & regimented like the old days, but with a more social approach.
This is great here, but not all local fans have access to the net.

    What say peoples ?
Should we do it again ?.... but differently.

we've decided not to go to the TRU thing....all the toys are available elsewhere anyway, so no great surprise there.

TRU can bugger off. They charge twice as much as anyone for toys anyway. Rip-off merchants.

    :)

Just a reminder about this on Friday night... I know that at least a Stormie and Tie Pilot will be making an appearance.... I'm hoping Vader will be there as well so I can point out the differences to people :)

P.S. Bring your K-Mart catalogues along - who knows, TRU might price-match.

Stupid question - does midnight Friday mean tomorrow night (as opposed to two hours from now)?

Silly question, but I need to know if I'm dashing into town tonight or meandering lazily along after watching a play tomorrow night.

    State nightclub? I'm there ;)

Evil, why oh why doesn't Mrs Evil ever watch Star Wars? One needs to decide whether it sucks or not. Left in limbo one cannot be.

    But, but, but.

I had to see Scary Movie 2 to truly decide that it sucked. (yeughch!) Surely if one hates something, then at least see it to determine it sucks.

Besides, VI and II are pretty much chick flicks ;)

Damn. I thought I could use my horrible Scary Movie 2 experience for something useful. If it can't be used as a discussion point, then I want that two hours of my life back. Now.

    Bleugh, what a horrible film.

Ok this is just a reminder that if anyone else is going, we will be there around 11pm

There was an Ad in the paper yesterday advertising fact that they (TRU) had costumed characters...

So come along, even if u dont buy anything at least u can get your photo taken with a Stormie, Tie Pilot, Handmaiden and a Royal Guard(me :D )

Who knows TV cameras could be there as well and you get to be on TV news or at least on here :)

It is....I remember the last movie and how DJ swore he was going to join the empire for the next movie as he was stunned as the women walked straight past him and on to TK! He was in his Luke Jedi and was not impressed with the way TK was pulling the ladies in!!!
