i think the whole "ani" thing is just down right degrading for the poor guy. he becomes a great jedi and possibly the most productive SITH and to have been "ani" i think hes lucky he didnt go mental. :p

    everything else:
    TPM = greatness

The roger roger call is the best.

Also C-3PO saying he would never go into space. Little does he know.

I liked the similar ending between TPM & ANH.

Thought after seeing the GL interview a couple of weeks back some parts/characters made a lot more sense last night.

He's alot fatter than the other gungans, and his eye stalks have disappeared into the folds of his face.

Kinda like when middle-aged people lose their neck.

Up until about 2 months ago, I didn't even realise Boss Nass WAS a Gungan. I thought he was some other race <lol>

Boss Nass being Huge is a sign of Wealth. like in some human races (Tongan) Fat is beauty - Size is wealth.

Ie: Jabba the Hutt - as he becomes a great crime lord and becomes rich - gets fat. i guess its the same with the gungan race.

Wow, this place has been busy since this morning.

    "There's always a bigger fish."
    Qui-Gon Jinn

    "I think you overdid it."
    Obi-Wan Kenobi

    > I liked the similar ending between TPM & ANH.

Not only are the ceremony scenes similar, but the music sounds very similar, but I can't work out if it's the ANH or RotJ ending it reminds me of. ?[face_plain]

    > Question why does Boss look different to the rest of the gungans

Boss Nass is a different sub-species/race of Gungan. In Dorling Kindersley's Star Wars: Episode I - The Visual Dictionary it says ...
Boss Nass has the distinctive green skin and hooded eyes of the old Ankura lineage that hails from an isolated swamp village. His distant ancestors united with the Otolla Gungans who founded Otoh Gunga.

So jp-30 wins the prize - a once in a lifetime trip to the belly of the bigger fish. :D

    > I have to keep explaining to one of my friends that Palps and Sidious are the same guy.

The main thing about TPM that annoys me is repeatedly having to explain to other people that Anakin is a young Darth Vader - NOT a young Luke. :(

Here's a question. Does anyone know the name of the smaller Trade Federation droids??

They can be seen walking past one of doors on the Droid Control Ship (I think it's when Darth Maul is introduced in hologram form) and again clearing up the damaged Battledroids at the "end" of the Gungan battle when the Gungans have surrendered.

They look a little like ET (I thought that was the ETs until I saw the proper bit).

Wow, I never knew that about Boss Nass. Cool.

The music at the end of TPM, now that's interesting. It's actually the Emperor's theme from ROTJ, speeded up and sung by a children's choir. I found this out from the Star Wars music board, and I didn't believe it at first, then when I played them one after the other, I found out it was true.

Kind of symbolic. The celebrants think they are headed for a time of peace, but really Palpatine being elected chancellor means they are headed for bad times. Same with the music. Sounds happy, but it's really much darker.

The little droids are PK droids. They keep the Trade Federation battleships minty fresh :D

    [image=http://www.theforce.net/episode1/newspics/hidden_little_droids.jpg]

In the TPM script, two of these droids by the name of PK-4 amd EG-9 had a conversation as Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan were led into the Trade Federation ship by TC-14. The name PK-4 has been recycled for a droid in Attack of the Clones.

TFN has a couple of Episode I features that may be of interest, Guide to Hidden Images and The Cutting Room Floor. And remember, the Episode I DVD comes out on October 17th :D

Thanks - that answers two questions that were bugging me: where the music comes from and what those droids are.

Now, where's the figure for those droids?? :)

Obi-Wan-"I'm telling you, Palpatine is Darth Sidious!"
    Qui-Gon-"He can't be. He's not wearing a hood!"

Most annoying thing about TPM: Ani. Note: Wasn't Lukes old nickname "Noodle" or something like that?

Personally, I don't find Jar-Jar that annonying. But what I DID find annoying about the special editions was that they cut out the bloopers, like the one where the Storm Troopers bangs his head on the airlock. But they did leave in a classic: the Harisson Ford+Carrie Fisher Grope in return of the Jedi!

The shot is in the regular version of TPM. It's just before the droids are deactivated, I believe.

Luke's nickname in the ANH script and some ANH cutscenes was "Wormie". And the stormtrooper-banging-his-head shot is still in the special edition (at least it is on both of my SE VHS versions).
