You can change them. Click the "admin" link near the private message link. Then make up a password, go to "Change User Name Style" and you can pick from any colors.

Strphye, the only way you can get rid of this thread is to delete it. Apparently the first post has to be blank and the second containing the information to do an unsticky.

As for changing your colors, just follow the instructions that JMO said and you'll be fine.
