Yes the trailer is awesome and ROTS will definitely be the best out of the prequels - but I doubt it'll be the best science fiction movie ever - yet alone be the best Star Wars movie ever.

No prequel Star Wars movie will transcend the original classic ones. (esp TESB) In my opinion.

forgive me if i havent gone through the entire 90 or so pages but for all those like me here is a short review of the trailer

its a review not a desciption! so here goes

the best trailer i have seen since LOTR doesnt even do it justice, this trailer actually moved me to tears not the girly kind but the ones which u get when u score 100/100 in test or when u see LOTR extended edition on DVD,
anyways if the movie is as good as the trailer then we not only have the best star wars movie on our hand but also a critcally acclaimed movie which will make all theGL / SW haters, bashers shut the FUk up permanently.

the drum beats were awesome and the way the action has been done doesnt look star wars but like saving private ryan (or anakin in this case)

the expressions on the actors and the special effects seem top notch and are noticably darker and edgier than the earlier 2 movies.

overall what can i say , if u havent seen this trailer then see it rite now, i mean NOW, if u have and just got blow away , dont worry i got a head ache watching, no its not that bad but just plain simple mind bogglingly awesome

i called up all my friends at 1 am and made them download the trailer !

For anyone in the UK who missed seeing the new trailer on TV - Film: 2005 with Jonathan Ross is featuring ROTS in it's summer preview tonight.
The programme has just started and it seems they are going to show the trailer...

I loved the part where Obi yelled,

"You were supposed to be the chosen one!"

You can just feel the emotion.

I went and saw SIN CITY tonight. Wonderful surprise - they played the teaser trailer. It was awesome.

I still haven't seen the trailer

I'm gonna have to wait for the DVD to see it. Or I could download it from somewhere, but that would take about a month on this PC.

the only reason ep3 wasnt as good as empire is because lucas rushed through too many scenes. and because of that didnt provide enough resonance

Yes.

After seeing ROTS recently again I am more and more leaning towadrs putting it above ESB.
Some parts of ROTS (like Order 66, twins birth, Anakin's tranformation in medical center, each scene with Palpy - especially opera - Anakin-Obi dialogue before/after the duel) seem to be the greatest SW moments ever
(although I do remember that ESB had "I am your father" and the first appearence of Yoda).

There are other threads that are for movie discussion. Let's leave this one be, it's a great historical thread. Let it die back down (or else be locked) and just bookmark it.
