ST Trailer (possible) Easter Eggs

Just a couple of quick things that jumped out at me. One's for sure, but I don't know what it means. The other looks like it to me, but I might just be seeing things.

 

I doubt the 1st one...

 

Me too BUT it was the first ship that came to mind ...

 

Not that I would mind!

 

I'm assuming the ship leaving is the last landing craft from the previous night's raid. It's also likely the first shot of the movie of Rey.

But then again I could be wrong on both counts.

 

The first one kind of reminds me of an Imperial light cruiser.

 

Somebody at the cantina identified a lot of podracer flags and other easter eggs in that second shot

 

Oh ya there are a ton of symbols from the Prequel trilogy to TCW

also I too thought that ship was significant but now I see it more as just a random ship that Rey sees and she watches it daydreaming about the day she'll leave Jakku behind but something is holding her back, y'know you can almost hear "Somewhere over the Rainbow" playing in that shot lol

 

If that is a Consular-class ship, I don't know that it's anything significant. I think it's more akin to the Outrider in the SE, just a little tip-o'-the-hat. Like, this back-water scrap of a world, the only folks that would be coming in and out are flying ships that 60 years old.

Actually, the first ship I thought of was the Enterprise. I could actually see Abrams doing that as an easter egg throwback to his Trek movies, especially if that's the closest look we get at the thing.

Nr. 14 is the flag of the Ohnaka Gang!

 

The ship from the trailer looks more like this to me:

 

I thought about that one, but the aft end, it looks like there are two separate "bulges" like the engines on the Radiant VII rather than the solid "block" of the Tantive IV.

 

Okay, Confirmed. Maz Kanata's castle is a six flags theme park. Well more like twenty flags, but you get the idea.

 

What about Luke's shuttle after he left the 2nd death star? he used this shuttle in shattered empire.

Not possible. Abrams has said he's doing this film as tho the PT doesn't exist. He wouldn't allow any PT-related imagery.

this could be the angle of this shot.

 

I guess? Sure doesn't look like it. They are very far apart and correspond to what I assume are actually the engines. But who knows. Could be.
