who wishes there had been training scenes in the prequels? i think that was something that was really missing in the prequels. everything just seemed like a rush to get to the next scene

 

There were. Yoda trained younglings in Episode II.
What else did you have in mind?

 

I don't, because the PT is not about that. In the OT, we need to understand more about the Jedi ways than we do in the PT. That's why it has scenes of Luke training.

There was a scene in which Yoda trained the Younglings in AOTC. Even that was more than necessary for the story.

 

i'm really talking about anakins training, it wouldve been nice if you saw i ep 3 a practice duel between obi and anakin

 

Why?
You see a real duel.

 

Why would they have a practice once Anakin is already a Knight?

 

I think the youngling scene in AOTC was there simply to establish that they had younglings so that when you see them again in ROTS, you're familiar with them. Not that you wouldn't understand who they are in ROTS without it, but it's nice to have that kind of connection between episodes.

No, I honestly don't think they should have. They can "hone their skills" all they want off screen.

Always have been curious as to what the "Trials" were. Probably addressed in the EU, I've only seen the films.

 

I wanted to see at least some other Jedi characters training in the temple.
I wish it showed Cin Drallig training and sparring with Whie Malreaux and Bene (Scout).

I'd rather see them train perhaps duel Anakin in person than seeing them in the short hologram.
Did anyone know that that shot was edited? It was. George Lucas made it shorter because it wouldn't be needed for that part. He thought wrong!

 

It would have been cool to see some Jedi all fighting in a combat situation, kinda like training, except they'd be surrounded by droids and trying to save their Jedi compatriots...perhaps Mace could somehow be involved, maybe cut someone's head off...if only we had a scene like that somewhere in the trilogy...

Edit: I admit I always wanted to see the "Jedi Trials" Whatever they were.

 

Well, considering Obi-wan felt he failed Anakin by not training him as well as Yoda, it would have been interesting to see what this "failure" entailed. We see a little bit of Ben and Yoda making up for Anakin's supposedly "poor" training with Luke's training throughout the OT. Since SW uses so many parrellels, it is interesting that Luke's training (a big part of the OT) has almost no parrellels in the PT.

 

It also explains Obi-Wan's reference in the OT to being trained by Yoda (not Qui-Gon). Yoda trained him as a youngling.

it would have been interesting to see in what way obi1 srewed anakin up so royally although the beginning of AOTC gives many a hint in the directions.

 

It might have been nice to see a training session between Anakin and Obi-Wan similar to the ones we see with Yoda and Luke on Dagobah, Obi-Wan teaching Anakin to see the future/past through the Force or something.
