Officially, I do not get any vacation days until July 1st, but that gives me enough time to take that Thursday off.

I hate to say this but can we see it during the day? I have a hard time spending $10 to see a film when I spent the last 15 years replicating the same thing in my livingroom.

You spent the last 15 years transforming in your living room?
I don't think I really want to know what you mean by that...[face_shame_on_you]

Many different rooms over the years. My dedicated media room is long gone.

1976 my first phonograph player (mono)

1984 First dual well cassette deck (built into a "boom" box)

    1986 my first CD player.

1991 Dolby surround-3 channel and Hi-Fi VHS deck. (my first "Home Theater", the name didn't even exist yet)

    1992 My first LaserDisc/CD/VCD player

    1994 Pro-logic receiver- 4 channel (composite TV/Dolby 4 channel)

1997 1st gen DVD deck with built in Dolby Digital and a receiver with discrete 5 channel inputs- first Dolby Digital 5.1

2001 THX ultra receiver with 5.1 (gen 2+3 DVD decks) (s-video/composite video)

2002 Gen 6 DVD deck with SACD, Dolby digital 5.1, and component inputs (dual subs and bass shaker transducers)

    2005 2nd THX receiver with 7.1/DTS/DD/Pro-Logic IIx

2006 DLP 720P Projector and 92 inch gray glass beaded screen (Graywolfe II) and Sony Grand Wega 60 inch LCoS HD TV (1080i+HDMI)

Built my own room treatments (bass traps, and diffusers).

Basically I can replicate the movie experience in my house the same, if not better than a 1st run theater. When I bother to calibrate the audio/video and room. Does not mean I ever get to "really" use it.
Very proud of my background and knowledge of this stuff as well as I bought everything myself from working. ('cept the record player). Believe it or not my love for the reporduction of a movie soundtracks started from seeing Return of the Jedi in one of the first Sensurround/THX equiped theaters over 25 years ago.

    I'm a well rounded geek. :-B

Tickets are onlesale via online or by going to the theater and getting them early. This sway none of us miss out.

Lets pick a day (5th), time(11:30 or 12:20), amnd place (el con). Just an example.

I'd say early show day after release so it may be less crowded.

    Lets decide on what theater.

    El Con (comfortable)

    or

Century 16 (closest to most of us)

Then we can pick the time on the 5th to go see it.

OK, then we go with El Con on the Thursday the 5th

    11:30am 12:20 1:05 2:00 2:50 3:40 4:25 5:15?

I'd prefer earlier the better. So I vote for a 11:30 to 1:00 show.
