Transformers The Movie

Went through about 10 different title for this thread. Thought about:

Transformers: You got the touch thread. (too vague)
Teletran 1: Discuss Transformers 2007 movie. (too long)
The Maniacal Megatron Thread. (didn't really mention the movie)
Transform and Roll Out: Transformers the Movie Thread. (meh)

Well you get the idea. Decided to be pretty boring. Wish i'd gone for the Megatron one now.

Well anyway, this is a thread to discuss and debate the 2007 movie "Transformers". I posted something similar on the main FFUK boards, but no one seemed that interested. I think it will get a lot more attention here.

I'll go over to the other thread and copy all of the stuff I posted in there as there's no point repeating myself over again.

I highly approve of this movie and my only concern is that there isn't going to be enough Megatron in it.

Prime is a big girl hairdryer. Give the fans what they want. 2 hours of Megarton being badass.

Hmm, had you notice how there are many Decepticons but hardly any Autobots in the movie because that wuss of a fella Michael Bay thinks the Autobots are so good they can kick many a Decepticon ass.

Bah, no one liked the Island anyway

 

I'm just glad that Jazz is in the movie.

He was always my fave, though i'm a little disappointed that he isn't a white Porsche 911 with a blue stripe. But at least he's there.

Bit suprissed he was included actually. Despite being Prime's right hand man and 2nd in charge of the Autobots, he was never really given that much screen time in the cartoon or movie.

I don't know why there are so few Autobots compaired to the Decepticons, but i'm sure Bay's going to have a reason. Plus, look at how the series started, there were only about 5 Autobots. By the time they hit the movie, there were about 100!

 

Have you guys seen what the transformers look like in the movie?

Megatrons face in battle mode! Not to sure about the Mighty Megatron. He seems the most removed from his original design. I'm hoping that the images we have seen of Megatron thus far have been from his Cybertron, pre Earth version. Hopfully when he gets to Earth and adapts himself to blend in, he will look more like we remember.

Bit of a mess this one isn't it? Doesn't really look like a Transformer in any way, shape or form. Just looks like a load of silver tubes stuck all over the place. Arms are too long also.

Bumblebees face. Bumblebee (despite being a Camero, instead of a Bub) seems to have maintained most of his look and character from the orginal G1 version.

How much would you pay to have one of those guarding your house in the garden? You gotta admit that Bumblebee in REAL robot form looks pretty frickin' sweet!

 

Hmm, i guess if you keep them supplied with oil, etc. they'll guard your house all you want hehe

Megatron does look very Manga/Anime.

The designs are very different. Hope not too weird though, i.e. is that Skeletor in there?

Cool! I actually really like those.

I think they did a pretty good job with Prime and I can't wait to see him kick Megatron's arse!

Looking forward to seeing what Jazz looks like in Robot form. I hope that he looks a little bit like I remember him.

 

My mate has been on the set of the Transformers, and he said that Bumblebee looks even cooler in person.

Dont worry, your not the only one who wasnt into the Transformers craze. Teenage mutant ninja Turtles however are another matter...
