Yoda wasn't expected to be here until sometime in 2007, looks like it'll be alot later now. Poor little fella, maybe he just didn't want to go to France and went to Rome instead.

 

There is no specific rule banning alcohol at Fan Force events according to our RSA. The exception being that all meetings must be at places where all ages are welcome.

Alcohol is permiteed as long as it is responsible. No minors drinking, nobody getting hammered or acting out of order. I know some Fan Forces out there have parties at bars for their members who are over 21.

Maybe we could do an IEFF Octoberfest trip in October when it's on for our over 21's. I almost got to go last year but had to miss it.

Alcohol is not strictly forbidden by Fanforce. However, if each club wants to create their own rule about that, it's up to them. I know the San Diego group asks that no alcohol be consumed at club events due to the presence of minors.

On the subject of Yoda, he disappeared once more in the French postal system. We recovered him yesterday and are planning on sending him on to Germany (skipping France) to get the tour on track once more.

Cool. If Yoda is still in Germany in June he could go to some of the World Cup festivities!

 

So 3 years later, Yoda is finally making his way to So Cal.

For everyone who wasn't around, we sent a Yoda doll around the world back in 2006. He started in England and has been making his way across Europe, Asia, and Australia ever since. And now, he's finally back for the North and South America leg of his trip.


Yoda's expected in San Diego soon, so after our 2 weeks with him, I'll be driving up to hand him off to one of you guys (Kari/Stuart? Did we ever resolve who I'm handing him over to?), then you guys will get to take him to cool places for a few weeks, then hand him off to Orange County. Should be awesome!

 

Can you give me a ball park date of when we'll get him?

 

It would be a good idea if Kari or another member take him, that way he'll actually get to events!

 

Kari, I won't know until I get him. Right now I'm waiting on that part.

 

Just let me know and we'll make arrangements to make a Yoda pass.

 

Too bad he won't be here for our star gazing night. Maybe if San Diego gets him, he could come up with Adam just so we could get the shot of him there.
Then when San Diego finishes with him, we could show him our IE hospitality! YeHaw!!

 

I'm sorry it's taking so long, guys. I finally got Yoda back from the Sea World employees who held him captive for more than a week.

Though I had a question; I can probably send him off later this week, OR, if you'll let me, I can keep Yoda an extra week and take him with me on my cruise to Mexico. Thoughts?

 

Personally, I think Yoda deserves a Mexican cruise! When are you going and when will you be back?

 

I leave on Saturday and get back the following week. So he'd be sent to you by the first week of April.
