The year is 325 ABY, 128 years after the death of Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker and 76 Years since the establishment of the Treaty of Courcsant which founded the Second Galactic Empire. The Empire and the Jedi work together to keep the peace and protect the Galaxy from the war. While unrest and crime will always exist and small factions fight amongst each other outside the Empire's borders, its citizens have named this time, "The Era of Peace". With rulers no longer worried about the threat of future war, they have taken the opportunity to turn society's focus onto the past. Never have there been more historians, researchers, or an emphasis on furthering technology.

In world of treasure seekers, adventure awaits. However, there is one adventure that every treasure hunter longs for, yet they do not even know the prize. For many years, a message has been spread: "The perfect balance between Dark and Light was only ever achieved by one man and door to his greatest possession remains hidden, but will soon be found." It appears in the strangest places and at the strangest times. Many have speculated on the source, but none deny it's validity.

Now, a new message has appeared: "The door has been found. Your key lives between Toydaria and NarShaddaa with a seat, silence and patience. Look for the red feather in exactly one month's time." Exactly one month from the date included in the message, there is one official transport scheduled to fly between those two planets, departing from Toydaria at exactly noon from the largest spaceport on the planet.

Despite the maintained interest over the original message, the new message is largely thought to be a fake However, it has generated interest and will likely lead to some sort of adventure for those who don't already have previous work and is a great place to start something new.

    Rules:

*A unusually tall, black wookie with red highlights, 3 scars vertical on one cheek arrived at the Spaceport, Rykk blade and Bowcaster strapped to his back. He headed directly for the lock that the shuttle is scheduled to leave from. He was obviously wary of being in such a large crowd, his stride spoke of battle readiness, his hands were clenching and unclenching. His lone companion following him, keeping stride, the two quietly in conversation as they draw near the lock. The black wookie, was constantly looking over his shoulder as they went aboard *

a dark brown wookie ,with a diagonal scar on his face, arrived at the spaceport with a much larger back wookie. they both had a ryyk and bowcaster, but they wore them differently. the smaller wookie wore his sheath by his side, it looked like a rather large ryyk blade, and his bowcaster strapped in such a way that you are sure it could be quick drawn. he walked next to his partner onto a shuttle. they kept to the back of the shuttle and talk quietly.

"ill be glad to be rid of this place." Dew thought

From the back of the waiting area, a cloaked humanoid figure sighed and shouldered his rucksack before heading toward the lock and his shuttle. As the figure walked through the room, his eyes surveyed the occupants with some anxiety as a small, Cheshire smile creeped onto his bronze features. His eyebrows rose slightly toward the two pairs of vestigial horns above his eyes at the sight of the two Wookies traveling together. "Interesting," he whispered to himself.

A tall man with a goatee came into the space port, leery just slightly to get to close to anyone else. His eyes darted from left to right as he examined his surroundings. He had a blaster holstered at his side, hidden slightly by his long brown coat.

Spaceports across the galaxy were always filled with numerous types of creatures and aliens. The official Interplanetary Toydarian Spaceport was no different. The main hall, as big as a large street, was filled with every type of creature. By far, the most common mong them were the Toydarians. Toydarians were short in stature and fairly fat with large floppy noses, scrawny arms and legs, and big, round feet but flew around with their small wings instead of walking. Several hundred years ago, Darth Vader, before he was known by that name, was owned as a slave by one in a shop on Tatooine. There was plenty of room for them to fly as the celling of the large building was quite high. It was less of a celling and more of a hardened, curved tarp to keep the sun and rain from falling directly falling on those walking beneath. The floor was dirt in the hallways, but the walls were shiny metal, or at least they used to be, now they were pitted with rust from the moist, warm air of Toydaria.

The Spaceport was fairly small and mostly based around one long hallway with entryways to all the docks on either side. Because so many of the Toydarians flew around their planet with their wings, there was a planet-wide ban on speeders which kept the airspace around the space port fairly free and quieter than most. Toydaria wasn't an official member of the Galactic Empire, as they were part of the Hutt controlled space, so none of the guards wore common uniforms found on most other spaceports. In fact, none of the really wore uniforms at all, the only thing marking them was a large red shoulder covering and the now iconic ER-12 blaster rifle. The guards patrolled in pairs up and down the main hallway, but were sparsely spaced so it was common to not even see a guard for a while. As such, people were wary here, always watching their stuff and looking at everyone else as if they were gonna steal it.

The dock to the Nimugal, the transport leaving for NarShaddaa today, was one of the rare guarded entrances. Next to the entrance was a small stand where those interested could purchase their ticket for a small fee of only 50 Credits. Beyond the door was the security check point. One of the advantages of Hutt Space was that guns were freely accepted and nobody questioned those who carried them around. The Empire was less forgiving and required most guns to require permits. However, despite that freedom in Hutt Space, guns were still required to be checked in on official transports and would be returned to the owner upon disembarkation on the arrival planet. Due to the short length of this particular trip, passengers were allowed to carry any additional baggage with them onto the shuttle.

The Nimgual was a very large, wide, and fairly old looking transport vessel. It sat on a large platform with walls only on 3 sides, separating it from the other docks and the hallway, and no celling. Once inside the door and past the security check point, the high pitched hum of the engines filled the air and people stood sparsely on the ramp into the vessel.

OOC GM: A few things now that I've seen you post. Try and include some character introspection. Go read the Intervention thread for some ideas (start on page 2 to skip the intro). I'd like your posts to be at least a paragraph long (not a requirement, just something I'd like). Also, you can make out of character comments at the end of your post, just say "OOC:" but don't make them long. PM me if you have any questions before you post. I'll get an email about it so I should be able to respond within an hour. Also, things your character say go in quotation marks - "" - and thoughts should be italicized because I like it that way and it keeps it easy. And... always include your character's name in the first line or two of your post. Have fun with your characters!

*Mowluabacca strode to the front desk with Dew by his side, he growled something about filthy regulations as he paided the 50 credits. As he took his ticket, he picked up his cargo trunk as he walked over to the check point. He grinned menacingly at the guards as he handed over his rykk and bowcaster. His cargo trunk is locked and the electronic key is handed over with the weapons so that he can't open it. Inside is contained a few more items he had brought with him on his exile from Kashyyyk. He looks back over at the cloaked Zabrak that had followed over to the check-in desk and then noticed the man in the brown coat that just entered the dock area. He notices the blaster on his hip, just under the coat, hidden if not for his walking. He growls over at Dew alerting him to the 2 newcomers in the area. He finishes up his checkin/security check and then waits for Dew to finish up before boarding.*

OOC: the Cargo trunk is locked, and can't be opened without the key, so the contents are inaccessible during the flight. Mowluabacca also is carrying his datapad with him which is hooked up(wireless, local wifi basically) to his pc regardless that it's in the trunk, for easy access(though limited due to datapads limitations)

Dew growled something to mowlubacca about regulations being crappy necessities. he paid his 50 credits and followed mowlu to the checkpoint. he nodded at the notice of the newcomers. "i better watch them... they might be madclaw hunters."
at the checkpoint he handed over his ryyk blade, hunting knife, and bowcaster. they searched his backpack to find a datapad and traveling supplies. Dew met up with mowlu and muttered that he doesnt like being without his weapons... he carefully watches=d the others that are boarding for anyone who might be trouble.

Reno paid his fair some of fifty credits to bored the vessel. He was not overly interested in the scenery, but he did take note of the fact that the guards seemed scarce, perhaps a chance to pick up some spare credits left laying about. He was hesitant to turn his blaster over, but reluctantly agreed. He borded the vessel and kept to himself. He did, however, keep a watchful eye on his surroundings. He was used to hut space, but not necessarily familiar with Toydaria. He had no extra baggage for anyone to need to inspect.

As Etog observed those boarding the before him, he reluctantly sighed at the thought of being disarmed for the trip planet-side. When it was his turn to pay the fair and turn in his weapons, he calmly replaced his credit chip and removed his blasters before having the sparse contents of his bag rummaged through, the data pad and accompanying chips rustled against each other. Satisfied, the attendant waved him through to the ship. Once inside, Etog resumed his discreet observations of the vessel's occupants. Slightly nervous and excited for what lay ahead, and hoping he was still in the clear.

    OOC: Let the games begin.

The ship was designed for short transport trips. There were no rooms for people to stay in, only public rooms. Most of the ship was filled with one, large room with various sized tables. Most were round, varying from 6 to 20 seats. On the outer edge, there were some smaller, square tables for 4 or two people. The seats were all built into the floor and swiveled. At various points were long, metal dividers about 3 feet wide and 4 feet tall with plants growing out the top. The main ramp, for passengers, led directly into this room. There were a few doors that lead into other areas of the ship.

The ramp had a few people on it who sere just conversing. Inside, the room was mostly empty given its size, but still held a considerable number of people of all shapes and sizes. Most of the large tables were empty except one. The table was a large oval and looked to hold about 30 people. Most of the seats were full. Most of those at the table were human looking, but there were a few of other species as well. Most were dressed in plain clothes, but two wore brown cloaks covering what looked like massively buff bodies and seemingly large heads. A third gentleman stood out from those two as well as the rest. He was holding a ridiculously large red feather. It was about 4 feet long and pointed straight up. It's owner wore a wide-rimmed hat and he studied the feather through large, squinted, blood red eyes as if there was nobody else in the room. His face was blue with metal plates over his cheeks with metal tubes attached to the center of each and running down the back of his brown trench coat. Others at the table sat in complete silence, trying to watch everyone else in the room.

*Mowluabacca ducks his head as he entered the room. He looked around, daring anyone who met his gaze to hold it. A slight craze look in his eyes, causing it to have a faint twinkle. As he makes his sweep of the room, his eyes detected the man with the red feather. He nudges Dew, making a grunt, and head nod in the direction of the red feather. He walks over to where there's 2 seats at the man's table, and sit down. He glances at those at the table, to see if he recognized anyone from his years as a slave. Seeing, if there was any who had laugh at his plight. Any, who would be next to feel his claws, his rage, his fury.*

*120 years he lived in Slooga's den, the price for his brother's freedom, the price for the lives of his family. Then one day, an assassin made the mistake of walking past where Mowlu was kept chained. Taking the chance, he had quickly grabbed the assassin, ripping his throat out in the process. Taking the dead assassins tools, he'd quickly broke his chains, taking a thermal detonator, he'd grabbed his meager possessions from the storage room, tore out the 2 guards throats, marched straight up to slooga's throne, shoved the TD down his throat, and made his escape through one of the high windows. Never again will he be chained for someone else, to be humiliated, shunned. He made sure to memorize the Hutt's allies, to eventually hunt them down, and make them suffer for the indignation they forced upon him during his tenure.*

OOC: Dew was informed of most of the events during their short time together, during the events following after their exile from Kashyyyk. Just alittle background on Mowlu. More the be revealed as we go along. Hehee

Dew noticed that mowlu was very interested in the people already here, with keen interest in the guy with the red feather. thinking that mowlu might be getting upset, he followed him and puilled out both chairs that mowlu was standing by. then, after grunting for mowlu to sit, Dew sat. in all the while Dew was keeping a keen eye out for mowlu, he could go off if someone says or does something wrong. he tried to make pleasantries with those nest to him, but for the most part the communication issue was too much to get much through. so Dew sat waiting to see what would happen.

Reno was in the room, sitting at the table, observing the man with the feather. Un-fortunately, without his blaster, Reno felt naked. Without his trust weapon, should the need for it arise, Reno knew he would be vulnerable. He kept his wits about him, watching, and also, waiting to see what would happen. However, he was also attempting to keep a low profile. No need to draw attention to himself. So, he just blended in, hiding in plain sight.

As intrigued as Etog was by the large, red feather and its owner, he decided to look for a less obvious table to observe the room from, seeking and finding an unoccupied table next to the wall left of the entrance through which he came. As he sat down and took off the rucksack, Etog's nervousness stilled slightly at having a sturdy wall at his back and his eyes able to survey the room, while his ears remained open to the chatter of the room.

Everyone at the table of the man with the red feather continued to be silent while the rest of the room buzzed with the hum of conversation. When Dew tried to make pleasantries with those around him, their faces turned to look at his with almost horror. One man even put a finger to his lips in a shushing gesture, but his hand continued onward to brush his hair and it seemed as if he hadn't been doing anything else. Before anyone even had time to react, a blaster was fired. Dew took a shot in the shoulder, knocked backward, but not out of his seat, a patch of fur on his right shoulder was burnt with thin smoke trails curling up from singed hairs. The damage to the tissue underneath was obvious. The room was completely silent for a brief moment before several of the guards around the room began shouting and running towards the table.

During the moment of silence, the man with the red feather gave Dew a fierce look from under his wide brimmed hat, his mouth mouthed silence. After the guards began running towards the table, he his face turned to a Rodian sitting next to him and his expression turned incredulous. He raised one hand to point to a gun in the man's hand that didn't seem to be there before. Several other people, after various amounts of hesitation also pointed to the Rodian, obviously not wanting the man with the red feather to be taken by security.

Two guards grasped the Rodian, one on each arm, while a third snatched the blaster pistol. He was escorted away through one of the doors that lead out of the commons area. Given the seedy nature of this area of the galaxy, this was to be expected. Most people on this transport were probably involved in some sort of illegal activity at some point, but firing a blaster in a place like this could get more than just the person you're aiming at killed if you hit a vital part of the ship. All the while, not a single character at the table uttered a single word. They were here for the possibility of finding one of history's greatest secrets and the fame, money, or adventure that would come with it.

    OOC GM:
    - bobxrion, you take 12 damage.
    - Everyone, including bobxrion, roll a spot check. (remember to just give me the result of the die, don't add any modifiers) Go ahead and PM me on facebook when you see this and I'll tell you what you see so you can react accordingly in your post.
    - Also roll an intelligence check and message me that too.

Dew was shocked at first. then he was furious, but knowing the guards might take him away made him think twice.

    only for a second though.

Dew got up calmly and looked around the table. seeing them pissed him off even more. seeing how they are all in on shooting him and wanting him to shut up. so he clenched his fists and charged straight across the table at the man with the red feather. he hoped to let them know he was not to be messed with. Dew threw a punch with all the weight he could put behind it. (d20=9)

*Mowlua roared in anger at seeing his friend being shot. He looks straight at the man with the feather, grins menacingly. NO ONE attacks his friends and gets away with it. Regardless of who they might be. Knowing Dew is capable of handling himself, He looks around at the guards, scoffs at how they hold themselves. He stood up with Dew, as Dew charged across the table, Mowlua goes straight for the nearest guard and attempts to disarm him(d20=14).*

Etog raises an eyebrow at the Wookies' reckless course of action and holds a keen eye on the proceedings surrounding shooting at the large table to identify potential opportunities for alliances and profit. (Take 10.)

Reno removed himself from the vicinity of the wookies. He was not armed, and wanted no part of a brawl with two raging wookies. However, he chose to use this as a distraction to steal away and look for his weapons. They had to be her some where. (d20 for sneak = 7)

Trouble was rare on transport ships. When it happened, most people didn't know what to do, but everyone knew it was dangerous. Since the initial blaster fire, the other passengers had been almost holding their breath waiting to see what would happen. With Dew's sudden charge, however, panic broke out and everyone began rushing towards the nearest door. The entrance ramp was still open, but the blinking lights and accompanying sound signaled that it would be closing and anyone nearby should back away. The rack of weapons the guards had collected from the passengers had not been brought up the ramp yet, so must have been loaded onto another ramp and contained somewhere else in the ship, through one of the several doors leading out of this large room. There was no way any of the combatants were going to access additional weapons soon. That was little comfort to the passengers not involved in the fight as they fled, a few even running down the ramp without thinking. The rage of a Wookie was a treriffying sight to anyone, especially to the person it's being directed at.

The blue skin of the man with with the red feather signified him as a Duros, even though the shape of his face was obscured by the metal plates screwed into his cheeks. Duros were known for being more nimble and quick, but despite this advantage, the Wookie's punch landed true, right on the jaw (9 damage). With a loud shout, he was thrown back several feet and ended lying on his back, looking around for the guards as his wide brimmed hat settled several feet away along with the feather. The guard nearest Mowlua stood behind him, several feet away. He had his blaster rifle still in his hand from the moment before when Dew was shot. As Dew dove across the table, the guard didn't even see Mowlua round on him until his rifle was violently removed from his hands.

The guards on this ship, though, were no dummies. This part of the galaxy bred fighters. Excluding the two guards who were still escorting the Rodian out of the room, there were 5 guards who reacted to the actions of the two wookies without a second thought. The guard who had just lost his weapon to Mowlua came to his senses immediately. He rolled away and drew his vibroblade, preparing to counter the Wookie's next move. Another guard, on the same side of the room, joined that fight with blaster raised, shouting at the Mowlua, "This is your last chance! Stand down!" Both of these guards now faced the table at the center of the room, facing away from anyone nearer to the wall, including Etog. On the other side of the table, behind the Duros now on the floor, two guards raised their blaster rifles at Dew, both of them several feet away and on either side of the Duros who turned and smirked at the Wookie, still on the floor. The 5th guard retrieved his com link from his waist began calling for backup.

There were people running in a panic, there were a few fighting, and there were the guards, preparing to fight, but that wasn't everyone in the room. Most of the people who had been sitting at the table with the Duros who had the red feather turn and ran with the other passengers, but a four stayed. Two of them were humans who had obviously seen their fair share of adventuring. They didn't have weapons, but they turned, each to a different Wookie and set up in a fighting stance. Neither of the wookies were armed. The other two who stayed were the large looking men in long cloaks. Together, they turned and walked toward the side of the table Dew was now on, approaching from either side, but stopping several feet from him.

OOC GM: I didn't expect things to go this way, but you guys are definitely making the game interesting already. If you guys continue to fight, expect things to go really slowly because we can only go through one turn of combat round of posting. If you can all get on tonight and the posts can go faster than one per day, we can try and get through combat tonight.

Also, everyone roll an intelligence check.

*Mowlua looks over at Dew on the ground, then looks back up at the guard.* "Or what?" *Which of course, comes out as a short bark. Mowlua then grabs for the guard with the vibroblade, with claws extended, in an attempt to throw him at the other guard. (d20=20).*

Dew got up. He glared around the room. First at the man that he hit, then at the guards. Seeing mold throw the guard, dew shook his head and said "enough fighting.." dew put his hands up. "the guards can't take us, let's spare them." Dew said this while looking at the guards to see if any understood. He stood with his hands up waiting to see if they kept fighting.

The vibroblade wielding guard attempted to defend against Mowlua's grapple, but the Wookie's strength easily overpowered his efforts. Effortlessly lifting the guard in the air, Mowlua succeeded in hurling him at the other guard and they both ended up several feet back on the ground in a pile. Their weapons were scattered as well. Upon seeing this, the guards pointing their weapons at Dew shared a glance at each other for a moment then turned to the 5th who had paused from talking on the comlink. After taking in the scene and what had happened, seeing the satisfied face on Dew after he punched the Duros and the Wookie's now raised hands, he spoke once again into the comlink, "Nevermind, we have the situation under control." He then gave Dew a meaningful look and gestured slightly to the comlink before continuing, "repeat, we have the situation under control." The other guards lowered their weapons and began so step back, but still on alert, ready for anything that might still happen.

The room still contained a few panicking stragglers rushing to exit the room, but the others at the table who had gotten up preparing to fight the wookies, relaxed and turned again toward their seats. The Duros' face once again returned to calm and his eyes studied Dew now instead of the feather, but he started to get up and collect his hat and feather.

OOC GM: Sorry I didn't post sooner guys, I was going to post, but Hayden was out of town and didn't post, which I didn't find out till later, and then Sammy lost her purse and we had to deal with that. We found it, so all is good, but I was too busy to post until now.
