Trekkies are called "trekkies" what should we be called?

I voted for, Starwarsians, because if I chose my second pick im afraid Jar Jar would step in it. (I wonder if anyone will get that last joke)

 

I like plain l' "Star Wars fans". It's undegrading, yet singles you out in a crowd.

I rather like "smarter than trekkies." It's short, descriptive, and very very accurate.

 

Well, I voted 'Starwarsians', though I use the term 'Warsies'

 

"Star Woids". there is a documentary out there called Star Woids, similar to the documentary Trekies. I like the name, and i think it works. That's what i tell people i am. it almost always takes some explanation, but i still like it.

I heard somewhere about us being "Star Warriors". Kinda cheesy, though.

Dont blame sticks be mad at me if your gonna be mad at anybody, and I wasnt picking on any one and I didnt say anyone was not smart. I pick on my self and other Star Wars fans just as much as I do Trekkies we are all dorks and have a whole lot in common if you like it or not.

 

I think Geeks or Nerds would be enough

 

As mentioned on the Classic 'Star Warped' computer game type thing, Star Warsians. I had a website with SW.com called Star Warsians but I'm really lazy and never updated it so i think they put it in the trash compactor.

 

What catagory would you fall into if you liked Star Wars AND Star Trek.

I agree with the "star wars fans" sentiment. I have always regarded "Trekkie" as a degrading term (whether they take it that way or not), and I think that pretty much any other term would be degrading in the same way. "Star Wars Fans" is simple, accurate, and easily understood by mortals. Oops, I mean non Star Wars fans.

I don't think it matters so much what we wish to call ourselves. What matters is what the rest of the world already calls us. Take it from a reforemed cheerleader-type, you are nerds, as am I these days, and very comfy here in geekdom.

 

"Star Wars fans" is fine with me. The last thing we need is some demeaning name like the poor Star Trek fans have. Out of kindness and in the name of peace, I don't use the word "Trekkies".
