Triangle Trade Federation & NC 501st joint IMAX Exploris activities

The Triangle Trade Federation & 501st of NC will join forces for the IMAX AOTC premiere.

Both groups will be there at IMAX at 10/31, 11/1, and 11/2.

The NC501st will terrorize ...er get friendly with the movie patrons, and the Triangle Trade Federation (that's us) will be getting involved with SW trivia, Chewbacca soundalike contests, and lightsaber prop building.

Halloween Safe Night (October 31st, 6:15 pm-8:15 pm, Exploris)?Bring the whole family to Exploris? Halloween Safe Night event, sponsored by WB22 and UPN. It?s fun and safe trick-or-treating for the kids, with the opportunity to meet some of your favorite Star Wars characters and see live light saber dueling. Peter Mayhew, the actor who played Chewbacca in the original Star Wars film, will be on-site to sign autographs!

Star Wars Premiere Weekend (Friday, November 1st, 3:30 pm-10:00 pm; Saturday, November 2nd, 5:00 pm-10:00 pm) Get your tickets now for the premiere weekend of Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones at the IMAX® Theatre at Exploris! Meet Peter Mayhew, the actor who played Chewbacca in the original Star Wars film, who will be on-site to sign autographs. See your favorite Star Wars characters. See live light saber dueling by the Shadow playeers. Collect the premiere edition of the new Star Wars Bantha Tracks magazine. Play the Star Wars trivia game. And, of course, see Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones in a way you?ve never experienced it before?on the giant screen!

I'll be running SW Trivia contests, Chewie Yell Soundalike contests, and lightsaber base props building.

 

Our website has been updated with all the activity! Congratulations to Jim Atkaei for winning the costume contest at Beta Zone. He gets a computer, 2 tickets to the movie, and a trophy. Jim wore a great Darth Vader outfit.

Bring the family to the free Halloween Safe Night brought to you by
Exploris, WB22 and UPN28. It's fun and safe trick-or-treating for kids

and under, with the opportunity to see some of your favorite Star Wars
characters. There will be lots of candy for the trick-or-treaters from
participating vendors including Exploris, UPN28, WB22, Saturn of
Raleigh,
McDonalds, American Hero, City of Raleigh, Canita Mexican Beverage,
Star
Wars Fan Force and the 501st Stormtroopers Group. SafeChild will be on
hand
to offer free I.D. Passports for safekeeping with your child's DNA
sample
and photograph.
In addition, meet Peter Mayhew, the actor who played Chewbacca the
Wookie in
the original Star Wars film and see a live light saber duel by The
Shadow
Players at 7:00pm. Play games, including Beta Zone's virtual reality
game
and take a shot on goal at the Carolina Courage inflatable soccer goal.
Win
prizes! Participate in the Global costume contest and parade at
7:30pm!
Create a costume that relates to world cultures or traditions and
selected
finalists will parade in their finest. The winners will be the first
to
break Exploris' Halloween pinata for the evening.
