They're failing to set appropriate standards for their children. I mean, honestly. Halloween? It's a disgrace.

TBH I have to deal with so much sexist crap all the time in the real world, it's pretty easy to have a misintended comment/misinterpretation happen on the internet. I'm defensive about it because frankly I've had to be lately and it's getting tiresome. I get if that's not what his intention was and that's fine, cleared up, done, my mistake. There's not really a point in you dragging it out though, especially when it has nothing to do with you. I think if you put some thought into it, my intentions although misplaced are anything but "mean".


Anyways to stay on topic I have no children in this neighborhood or building. It's a desolate place of old quiet people with no halloweens festivities.

i just watched my neighbor, who i have never so much as seen before in six years of living in this house, come outside and hang a sign on her gate that simply said "no".

 

We took down our "beware of the dog" sign from our gate but forgot to put our dog inside the house. Luckily my six year old noticed the oversight and safety was restored to the neighbourhood. My dog is a sook Boxer but for some reason wants to eat little kids. He is in therapy.

 

poor doggy. misunderstood by all but a few.

The little baby bee was adorable and said "no thank you..." to candy offers...

And now just two large groups where we couldn't remember what everyone was!

 

We just got a Batman and a Captain America. I'm ashamed to say my wife gave an equal amount of chocolates to both kids instead of favoring Marvel Winner over DC Loser. A missed Pavlovian opportunity.

 

We got Iron Man and a Darth Vader that wouldn't stop holding up his bag even after I gave him candy. And a pink Power Ranger.
