Sac, CA Trilogy showing in Palo Alto this wekend!

Hey Fan-Forcers!

The Spangenberg Theatre in Palo Alto will be showing the three original Star Wars movies (Special Edition) this Saturday, April 13.

The Central California Garrison of the 501st Legion will be there, as will the Northern California Garrison (Bay Area), the Black Fleet costuming group and the South Bay Star Wars Society.

Admission for all three films is $15.00; we are tentatively looking at an
arrival time of 3pm to meet up with the NCA, Black Fleet and South Bay Star
Wars Society. The movies start at 5pm.

$15??? I don't suppose that could be changed for someone who can respresent TFN?

Nah. I'll be studying up a storm. Sounds great, though. Those 501st guys are wonderful.

 

$5/movie isn't bad any time, let alone for a big event with all the atmosphere and stuff. I wish I could go.

 

I'd love to go too. I'm afraid my weekend's already set though.

Thanks for letting us know. If they ever did another one and gave advance warning, we could make it an official event.

COSTUMES: The Saturday showing will feature numerous Star Wars characters to
see while in line, including Stormtroopers. Get your picture taken with

PENINSULA POPS: There's a good chance a jazz band will be present, playing
Star Wars themed music to add to the festivities.

PROMOTION: Please spread the word about the films- at work, your club, the
local shop, anywhere. Ep. I plays on Sunday. Trilogy plays Friday and
Saturday night. Of course, Saturday will be the most fun as we will all be
there in costume!

FROM EAST BAY
Take the Dumbarton bridge to 101 South. Follow the 1 0 1 route directions.

FROM NORTH / SOUTH BAY- 1 0 1 Route
Take 101 towards Palo Alto to Embarcadero / OREGON exit.
NOTE: At the OREGON exit, be sure that you do NOT get onto Embarcadero- the
two roads share an offramp!
Take OREGON west.
When Oregon crosses El Camino, it turns into PAGE MILL.
Stay on Page Mill- it goes up a big hill.

At the top of the hill is a light for FOOTHILL.
Turn left onto FOOTHILL Expressway.
Your second light will be ARASTRADERO. Turn Left.

You will see Gunn H.S. on your left. Turn left at the first light.
Follow the winding road to the large parking lot in back. Park.

FROM NORTH / SOUTH BAY- 2 8 0 Route
Take 280 towards Palo Alto, to PAGE MILL Exit.
Turn East onto Page Mill.
You'll go over a small hill, then down the back side.

At the bottom of the hill is a light for FOOTHILL.
Turn right onto FOOTHILL Expressway.
Your second light will be ARASTRADERO. Turn Left.

You will see Gunn H.S. on your left. Turn left at the first light.
Follow the winding road to the large parking lot in back. Park.

Hope you can join us at the baseball game in Modesto on 4/26! We will be at the Brenden Theatre in Modesto for the EP.2 premier (midnight and first showing on 5/16) and -hopefully- at a theatre here in Sacramento on the following Saturday!
