Trip to Tatooine

    Lando arrived first on Tatooine in ROTJ. Then it was Luke and the droids. Who flew the falcon there and who flew the X-Wing since those are the only two ships we see leaving Tatooine at the end of the act?

    probably luke and lando flew their respective vehicles. as to how c3po could have arrived in a one man vehicle, probably a big magnet.

    The period between ESB and ROTJ is covered by the EU novel Shadows of the Empire. This has the main characters meet up again (Lando went off to track Han, and he's found Boba) to try to rescue Han. At the end of the novel, Lando flies the Millennium Falcon to Tatooine, with Leia and Threepio presumably. Luke flies his X-wing. When they get there, Lando goes to get a job at Jabba's. There is a scene where Luke records his message, and talks to Leia. Leia gets in her bounty hunter get-up, the droids are loaded with the message, and off they go for ROTJ.
