Phx Trip to the Chinese Theatre line-up in LA!!!

Have a great trip folks! I have to go a wedding that day but you should have fun. I worked in Hollywood last year and went to the theater a lot. Great place to see a film if you can.

hey guys, don't forget to bring munchies for the trip and a change of clothes, because it seems more likely we will be staying the night in cali!

okay everyone, mobius got a good idea, and he's on his way home right now so i'm posting on his behalf.

instead of spending a bunch of money on a hotel, why don't we just bring our sleeping bags and camp out with everyone for the night?

 

why we can't stay the night in their line...

1. it's cold as hell at night!


2. we dont even have a tent that would fit on the sidewalk, let alone enough for 8+ people!


3. it's pretty crowded and their isn't much room for the people that are lining there, we don't need to come in and take up what little space they have. and if we take up too much room, the cops will kick everybody off the sidewalk!


4. it's not our line! were coming as guests, and their rules specifically state, no loitering for an extended amount of time unless you are part of the lineup...

sorry guys, i think getting a hotel room and splitting it is the best way...
jody found a room we can rent for $90 that is within walking distance to the line, so i think that is what we are going with.

Dibs on one of the pillows... (I really don't care *where* I sleep, so long as I have a pillow)

P.S. Y'all might also want to consider that I fully utilize my space while I sleep...

End result 4 guys....2 man tent. Remeber it can always get worse.

Are we REALLY going to try and fit 8 people into 1 room, to be totally honest 4 in 2 rooms seems much more feasable. Especially considering shower/lavatory calls.

well, i dont have any objections to two rooms...it's your money!

as i said before, i'm only bringing about $20.00, so if we end up getting rooms, someone will have to gracefully let me sleep on the floor! (for another favor of course, right mick? )

 

Eggbeater?? Well... I wouldn't put it *that* way, but.... yeah. Actually, I don't thrash too badly in my sleep, I do have a nasty habit of stealing covers, though. And sometimes, y'just hafta stretch out... waaay out...

 

Is anyone planning on costumes while we hang out with the line in LA?

I'm guessing not, but it was a thought...

 

Two rooms should work, that won't get too pricey for everyone.

 

i would think not on the costumes in LA...although in hollywood noone would look at you twice!

don't worry, you will have plenty of oprotunity to wear your costumes in our line!

 

i hope we're not staying at a travelodge, those places are like replicas of the bates motel.
