I could only find one souce for Chewie's weight and it was an estimate between 250-300 lbs. The proof of Everclear is 190 proof or 95-percent pure alcohol.

According to the Blood Alcohol Content Calculator which is based on 80 proof but if you multiply it by 2.375 you should get the same amount he should be able to consume. Also this is assuming he is drinking it in one hour. My best guess is 5 shots (at 1 1/4 oz per shot)which would put him around .16% BAC.

Speaking of Chewbacca, what was he consumed by in his youth that took him far from the confines of his green homeworld?

I don't have to look it up, I believe you are refering to the scene were Ben is turning off the tractor beam. I watched episode IV a couple days ago on my new TV to help break it in.

correct.......to the best of my knowledge, this is the most glaring moment
in all the films where you are taken right out of the film to standard earth English.

and, there is now need.......of all the things that could easily be corrected,
and reshot......using...STAR WARS font......for the words "Tractor Beam",
well..this change would make more sense than most.....

anyone remember when the light sabre is not a light sabre and
is still (even with the updates, I think) .....is still just a sword like looking prop?

 

I have to think about this one, but I believe you are refering to the scene were Ben is fighting Vader and it appears as if his light sabre is failing him. I never did get a clear answer from Lucas regarding this. HOwever I could be wrong???
