book signing I was at in Carmel, IN.

NOTE: There will also be a Troy Denning book signing in Chicago,
the day before. But I think getting to Carmel is an easier trip,
but still a long one for a work night/school day, or not a weekend day.

 

I remember those photo's, if their are cheerleaders at this booksigning that would increase my chances of going.

 

how about gamestop doing lucasarts demos?

 

I'd like to go to this but not having a car or a drivers license will make this a little difficult.

Try something like 2 blocks from my office. When I see things like this it reminds me I am old.

 

Barnes & Noble purchased FuncoLand in 2000 and renamed it GameStop. Then they purchased Electronics's Boutique (EB Games) in 2005, dropped the EB Games name, and called all the stores GameStop.

So now there is a Gamestop next to Burlington Coat Factory (formerly FuncoLand), and one inside UP Mall (formerly EB Games).

 

I liked the one in UP mall before, was a great place for SW toys. Their prices were outrageous; however, it was a great place to go after Christmas because with sales you couldn't beat the price and they had a good selection.

 

That's interesting - I did not know all those companies were tied together - especially B&N.

 

we also bought & converted babbages...

anyway, bn owning gamestop made getting them into the store an easy move. with any luck, the force unleashed will be either out, or coming out soon which will make the whole thing cooler. if it isn't out, i will be trying to get a playable demo from lucasarts to play in the store

 

now, THAT may be a reason to take a long weekend in the indy area...

 

I love SW games but why should Force Unleashed get me excited?

 

because it will feature several AI features that include physics and independent thought on the part of NPC's. the game will never be fought truly the same each time.
