Roch, NY TRU EIII Toy Release Event

I did. We're also planning on bringing handouts with the checklist on one side and The Rebellion flier on the other. I'm just hoping we can get them done in time tomorrow with everything else going on.

I know it seems a little late to be thinking about this...but I work at Media Play...we're going to be getting in shipments tomorrow..

The store opens at 10am on Saturday and I get a discount on figures...

 

I'm assuming the Henrietta Media Play?

TRU will price match the Wal-Mart advertised price of $5.24 if you bring in your ad that came in the mail this week. Will your discount beat that? Are toys still 35% off list? Or was it 40%? It's been almost 4 years since I worked at the Greece store...

We are scheduled to head back over to the Henrietta TRU at Noon. If Media Play is interested in us stopping by in costume briefly before that we might be able to arrange it. I know that Bryan Spencer would get a kick out of seeing Darren and I again - especially in costume.

Oh, and if you go to Walmart.com you can print out the add that shows Walmart's figure price...not sure if TRU will accept it but my buddy and I are gonna give it a shot.

 

None of the local TRUs in Western NY except maybe Auburn (?) is going to have a Midnight Madness sale. BUT there is a 24 hr Super-WalMart in Gates that will put its figures out. They did with Ep 2 so hopefully I think they will this time as well.

Do you any of you know how much TRU will sell the figures if they don't sell them for $5.24? I guess about $6.00 or so.

 

We will be able to use the TRU training room to change in and store stuff in. However, we need to be escorted to and from the area so that we don't see the EIII toy set-up. Like we haven't seen most of the stuff online already... In any case, if folks are able to get enough into their costume such that they can change in a public setting that would be most helpful.

There will be a table set-up outside for us so that we can put up banners and fliers temporarily until we're let inside.

They said that the Holo Yoda is back to not being available until April 10th.

I think that covers everything from my most recent phone call w/ TRU...

Oh - I forgot to ask about the prices... but last rumor I heard was that TRU lowered theirs to $5.29. If that rumor's incorrect then the price should be $5.99.

Update: Amazon TRU has a lot of the close up shots to the figures and the vehicles. Looks like I'm buying an ARC 170

 

I should be there by ten. Things went a lot better than expected today so I'm not coming in tomorrow.

It just stinks that I had to work so much these last two weeks, I had my Episode III tan sleeveless Padme costume almost finished for Saturday. I just wasn't able to finish it with 'living' at work this week. Ah well.

I'll probably need to steal someone (Doc? ) to help me into my costume when I get there.

So most everyone should be there by ten or before?

Sorry I did not make it last night guys. I was way to tired and needed a nap before work at 4am. Wish I could have not missed out but work comes first. I worked at Mc Donald's till 4 and then had my nephews Orange Belt test to go see from 7 till 8. I will be there today. I hope the rain does not scare everyone from coming out today to see us. I splurged and bought an over priced Lava Vader at Target today. 50,000 does not seem very low number to me. Limited toys I bought before were 2,000 and under.

 

50,000 although not seemingly a small amount is about what they made of the Toy Fair Vader as well... Priced him lately? Food for thought, collect what you like, but like what you collect...

It was good to see you all, and hope to get together again sometime... Possibly in 2 weeks?

 

My knees ache...I cant remember the last two hours of TRU today...Overall...Would do it again in a second


Now the real game begins...
We found almost 32 figs...its time to find the other 30. Muhaha
