Hey guys, looks like we've got interest for a midnight get together. As most already know, Toys R Us over in the west end (next to Regency Square) is launching the new Clone Wars toy line at midnight 7/25 or 12:01 am 7/26. I think we should get together and have fun. I know Joel & I are supreme toy collectors so its a given we'll be there. C'mon out in your costumes, who knows, we might even make the news! I'm really excited about this. Just a little bummed to hear about Danny & Rach going to New York. BUT who can blame them, our very own Clone Captain Rex at Toys R Us in Times Square! Woo Hoo! Troop it brother. Captain Rex is one of the premiere characters in the new movie and many toys will follow based on him so good luck to ya Danny! Again, come out in costume, I dont know if the store will mind or not but since its for a Star Wars celebration, I would assume they'd appreciate it. If not, we'll just leave em in our vehicles! Friday nights rock with the Clone Wars!

    Why not!?!

Put me down for this one.
It will great to have a "Fan Force" troop event!

I don't know which costume yet, all depends on Eddie and if my Tie Pilot will be ready.
If not, I can bring Vader or my Sandtrooper. (I love having these choices!)

The Manager, Alan said that we can be there in costume but it hasnt been determined if it will be advertised that we will be there.
I have a couple of folks coming from the Rebel Legion with Jedi costumes to help out.
    See everyone there

Thats great man! Thanks for doing the footwork. I'll see you all there...probably 11:30ish. I cant wait to see if anyone shows up, well i mean of course they'll show up just how many folks. I'd be pretty excited if there was a decent size line out front waiting to get in. I know some of our rebelscum collectors will be there. I just hope TRU really stocks up on the toys! Go for the Clones first! Obi, Ani, Yoda, R2, they'll be pegwarmers I'm sure!

We will have to use the Force to move all the Ebayers out of the way to get our stashes....
I will most likely be in a borrowed Jedi costume with Lightsaber in hand to move the posers aside[face_devil]

    Just a reminder...it's TONIGHT!

I have it on good authority that Lord Vader will be there tonight.
Looking forward to trooping this event, as well as grabbing up a couple of figures!

    Great time with great friends!

Here are the pictures (the good ones) we got off of our camera. I'm hoping the pictures Jean took with the other cameras came out good too.

    Enjoy!

Indeed, this was most exceptional. I was hyped not only for this event but the weekend in general! Since I'm a nightowl, it was great to be out on the "hunt". To my friends who showed, I want you to know how much I appreciated you coming out to play. For those who didnt, you were missed. It reminded me of midnight madness at Target when ROTS came out and I got their exclusive Vader. Much toys scored the following day and much to be said about this truly memorable occassion!

    Hello there!

I recently met Joe and Joel at TRU and mentioned my interest in joining the local FanForce. I'm a huge SW fan, a relatively obsessed collector, and I'm also a (beginning) costumer and would like to contact the local 501st for tips and to join, once I finish my Vader costume. Finally, Joe & Joel both mentioned a get together soon at Joel's, but I forgot the date. Please fill me in on any/all of the above.

I really enjoyed meeting you guys at the TRU event. By the way, the Target stores have the Order 66 2-packs on clearance for $2.49 each, for anyone interested. The West End Target and Walmart also have the newly packaged Potato Head (Darth Tater, Spudtrooper, and Artoo Potatoo) figures.

I look forward to hearing from you, and MTFBWY!

    Dwayne! Welcome to the boards!

You are going to find many kindred spirits here, from toy collectors, to prop collectors, to book fiends, gaming afficianados, artists, and just about anything that has to do with our love of Star Wars.

$2.49?? I originally say them on clearance for 6.99, and I waited, and then they dropped to 4.99 and I got them, never expected then to drop to $1.25 per figure! Guess that just shows what a crazy markup these things have, they are probably still making money off them.

If you are interested in costuming, check out http://www.501gt.com. Sign up there and you can learn all about imperial costuming. There are a ton of sites out there from detachments also with details. We'd love to have some more clones!
