Both endings of the first two episodes have left me wanting more. I even yelled in frustration when episode 2 ended. I wanted more.

Currently reading Definitely Dead. I hope it's better than Dead as a Doornail. The climax of that book seemed rushed and convenient. Harris should have gone another 50 pages and played it out better.

 

My intro to all of this has been the show, not the books. The lovely Frieda urges me to read the books but I am totally resisting, I am sticking with the show on this.

Good stuff so far. My only problem is that I've been trying to critique it in comparison to season 2(which was super awesome). So I'm always looking for a problem with each episode. Thankfully I've found very few. All the new character seem pretty cool, but I'm having problems with some of the known character seemingly having little to do. I think it's because my episode 3 in season 2 we knew where everybody was and what they were doing and we generaly knew where they were going plot wise. This time we don't. So hopefully episode 4 will set that in stone, which it seems like it might.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the new vampire.

 

I actually found Season 2 far to be not as good. Didn't like the Maryanne storyline at all, but the character development was far better. Plus, Godric .

But yeah, the ending of that episode was screwed up.

Also, I guess that means that Arlene's baby is Renee's?

 

I would imagine so yes.

I know I have never understood why because its a holiday they skip showing a show for the week!!!???

 

People were with family and doing social things. Maximizing ratings is imortant I think.

No. It aired already. Her role was important but small and fully clothed.

The full moon makes the werewolves change!?! I had been wondering how they'd apply that.

 

I did not see the full moon. I am liking this season though, new characters, new intrigue.... more blood.

Best show HBO has done since the Sopranos.

 

I did not see a full moon either, it may have been the vampire blood that set them off.

I thought the sex scene previewed with Sookie and Eric might have been her seducing him to kill him or harm him rather than a dream by Eric.

Vampire politics suck. You can't turn in your queen even though she is doing wrong? Ugh.

I thought for sure Lorena would be killed in the limo. That was a nice suspense setup I thought.

The post episode scene fetured a vampire telling a giv agent that there is some kind of ruler pulling the strings. I like that.
