Wash, DC TTT DVD party: Nov. 21, 8pm, details within

First of all, I know one you knowledgeable people out there can enlighten me as to when the extended TTT comes out. Having a copy of it is obviously a prerequisite to having the party.

Any suggestions on dates/times/places?

 

The official release date is November 18. So the earliest we could have a viewing would be Friday the 21st.

Then if we have a meeting beforehand, those participating in the Secret Santa can pick a name out of the hat and have a month to secure the gift.

EDIT: Oops, they changed dates on me, I think. Correct dates are bolded.

 

I don't think everyone who will be participating in SS will be able to make the TTT party, but we will see.

Either the 21st or 22nd seem like good dates to me.

 

I'm out...I'm working that weekend.

 

21st is good for me, 22nd too. but i don't think the kids will come to it just for he sheer lenght of the movie. but i HOPE to attend.

 

I know the 22nd is booked for me and Ken, but the 21st might be free for us. And since we're giving ourselves the DVD for our anniversary, we'll have a copy.

 

I'll be getting the box set, so I'll at least bring the Smeagol statuette so all may see it.

 

I don't think I can make the Nov meeting (two months in a row would be too good to be true ), but count me in for secret santa!

 

Any further thoughts here? Honestly we don't have much official business pressing that requires us to have a 'meeting', but that shouldn't stop a get-together.

 

I'm all for it. We're still free on Friday night, but not Saturday.

I can't think of any pressing business either except Life Day and Farpoint.

So far, AT-AT, its looking like Ken and Eugenia's NEW place on November 21st. Now we just need a timeframe that is agreeable to the hosts.

 

Since I don't get home from work until 6:30 or so, 8 is good.

 

8 is good, now since we are watching TTT I proberly won't be bringing the kids, so it will be just me. hehehe

Also, for the Metro-bound, we're not walking distance to the train anymore, but something can be arranged to pick folks up at Pentagon City, or the truly daring can take the bus from King Street.

Heather and I should be there. Possibly a little late because of work and all. There is also a small chance of me leaving early depending on my Saturday activites.

Well, after watching it last night, I gotta say - whoa! The extra stuff is great! (GL, pay attention) And it's dang long, so figure on not finishing until about 12:30.

So far I have: Me, Ken, David, Sharon, Valerie, Heather and maybe Roger as coming. I'm sorry you won't be there, Liz! Drew, are you and Christa coming? (Haven't seen her at the bus this week as I haven't been late so I can't ask her...)

As for food, I'd like to suggest that people bring snacks and/or beverage of their choice. For those coming straight from work, there is a 7-11 literally next door and grocery stores near by too. Or we can order pizzas.

I'll get directions to you, Valerie, if you let me know where you're coming from - 395?

And if anyone plans to Metro, let me know and we can work out a ride from Pentagon City.
