There isn't much better than watching David Ragan and David Gilliland pair up on the last lap at Talladega to take down the 48, 20, and 99.

Ragan deserves anything good he gets after the way he lost Daytona three years ago.

That was a great win by Ragan. Well worth the wait today.

Any takers on the 600 tonight?

Monaco was good, Indy was better, hopefully Charlotte will deliver.

Jason Leffler died in a dirt car event tonight. Veteran of all tracks (including Sprint Car), never a star, but a recognizable name. Hate to see it.

NASCAR is terminating their relationships with ESPN and Turner Broadcasting after next season and signing a 10 year deal with NBC. FOX Sports will continue to broadcast the Daytona 500 and other cup races.

    Wow.

That is HUGE for NBC, who now will have the market covered- Indy, F1, and NASCAR. Add the 2014 Olympics and the crown jewel, the Barclays Premier League, and NBC Sports Network looks ready to take on Fox Sports 1 as the ESPN alternative going forward.

Didn't get to see the heats but the main feature at Eldora was great. I don't know that we need to throw Cup or Nationwide on dirt yet, but this race must happen every year. Such a great event.

Tough break for Stewart, I've heard Max Papis should be it.

Awful for Stewart, and he's good on road tracks. But a good break for the team that this week is Watkins Glen, there are so many quality road racers out there who can sub in.

Next year is the year for Stewart-Haas, though, with Harvick coming over. Those two plus Danica should be fantastic, and if they can find the money to keep Newman in a 4th car..sheesh. They'll be up there with Hendrick and Roush.

Sounds like Newman is the frontrunner for the #29 at RCR. Makes sense.

I saw that he won- good to see him making a comeback of sorts. Hope it was a great time, Force Smuggler. One of these days I'm going to make it to Darlington to catch a race.

I'm sure AJ will end up in the 47 next year. I don't know if that's a ride he could win with, but I'm very happy he's rebounded well. A lot of respect goes to Penske for sticking with him, too.
