Phx Twister sighted in Denver...

    Gee... Zoo are you okay??? Watching the news seeing golf ball size hail near the airport too...

    That's because it showed up in that lovely little corridor know as the Winds of Hell! You know, out where they put the new airport :p

    That little area also happens to be where NOAA has a research facility set up to study the microburst (that thing that comes out of nowhere and rips the roofs and/or top floors off of buildings w/ no notice and has a nice history of putting planes into the ground at high velocities on approach and lift-off - great place for the airport, huh? ;) )

    It is also a good 45 minutes away from me (and that's Denver driving time w/o traffic)

    yea, we know all about microbursts in PHX, thats about the only type of storm we get! :p

    Zoo, I know that airport well. I have never met such an inconvenient airport. It is so out of the way. I have friends who live in Lakewood and it seems like an eternity getting to and from that airport.

    Maybe Sky Harbor spoils me. [face_blush]
