I've used that term for AR-15s since Newtown.

They dropped the Ricin charges against the Elvis impersonator.

 

I think people criticise the cable news networks too much. When events were unfolding, they were a great way for me to find out what wasn't happening.

What is it with Ivy Leaguers killing themselves? I had a cousin who went to Dartmouth, and, well...

 

People from all walks of life - all professions, all economic backgrounds - commit suicide.

 

Also they don't know if he killed himself. Could be, but they don't know yet.

 

What is your point?

 

Haha, that's what I thought the basis of the Russian request was. "He's Chechen so he's up to something."

 

My point is you seem to be implying that there's some kind of causative relationship between attending an Ivy and killing yourself. The fact is, it happens everywhere, all kinds of people.

 

If that is true, it still does not exclude a causative connection to attending an Ivy League school. It just means that it is one of many possible.

 

I myself think the question itself implies that there is a simple answer.

 

This. That and given the history of Russians imprisoning anybody who shows any hint of dissension and ill - will towards the Russian Govt. (see: Pussy Riot), it wouldn't surprise me if with the spamming of being asked to investigate anybody Chechen and Russians questionable at best Human Rights history if the FBI only did a surface investigation that did not find much in the way of ties to the Chechen fighting with Russian and didn't do much beyond that (and why he wasn't put on a no - fly list and allowed to travel to Russian in 2011). I mean, lesson learned for next time, but what a tragic way to learn it.

CNN is terrible.

 

I've seen comments on articles saying "ship her back to Iran." (That would be terrible even if she was Iranian, but she's a natural-born American citizen of Portuguese/Italian descent).
She worked 80 hours/week while her husband did nothing (or built bombs), and it seems clear now that she was abused... with a couple accusations of him slapping her, as well as forbidding her to stop seeing her friends, among other things. Yet people are attacking her. It's sickening.

There's a very special level of hell they reserve for child molesters, people who talk in the theater, and those who make ignorant responses in the comments section.

 

It's Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking, not Arson, Littering, and Jaywalking.

This is a week and a half old, but this is Craig Ferguson's monologue regarding the Boston bombings. Again, reminding me why I love his show so much:
