... Jango's bare hands tightened around the cord, the wire tearing and cutting into the flesh of his palms. The rain poured down as drops of ice cold rain seeped into the open gashes of this hands with sharp, agonizing stings. Crimson staining the cord as his muscles tensed and strained with every painfull pull. Jango's strong arms and hands continued to pull his sore body up. He stopped suddenly and held onto the whipcord. His head was tucked down now as rain that had dampened the blue flight suit sent shivers through his weakening body. The rain ran into his eyes and over his head and face, dripping off his nose he watched as one drop fell into crashing waters of Kamino below. His body quivered and shook as the power in his arms started slipping away with the rain. Jango's raw hands fell as though they were on fire as the constant tearing and slicing of the whip cord cut deeper and deeper until it begain rubbing against bone.

"Daddy help!" the sudden cry of his son rang into his ears. His head slowly lifted, feeling as though weights were trying to hold it down.

Boba had hidden himself behind one of the large pillars on the Kamino landing pad, pressing his back against it. His breathing and the sound of the wind, rain and the splashing and metalic thuds of Montross' boots were all Boba could hear.

Bpba scrambled to his feet, his hands and boots slipped, the rain making the sleek landing surface like ice. He finally stood on shaking legs, his body quaking with fear as he ran forward. He felt a gloved hand painfully grip his right shoulder and fling him backwards.

Boba's back slammed into the hard surface and slid backwards till his shoulderblades and upper back slammed into the edge of slave ones ramp. The sharp edge pinched and cut his skin, tearing through the blue shirt. Boba struggled to stand, his long brown hair being held to his face by the weight of the rain. The warm, sticky blood crept down his back as he slowly looked up, only to be met by Montross' hand gripping his small neck and tearing him off the ground, holding him at arms length in the air...

    [Two Hourse Earlier]

"Dad, where are we going?" Boba trailed behind his father, carrying Jango's armor. They had gotten a warning that Montross was hired to kill Jango. Jango had only had enough time to strap on some of his armor before they had to get going so they could leave before Montross could cause trouble...

"You're going to see Zam for a while..." Jango replied calmly... trying not to get Boba upset or worried, he hadn't told Boba about the situation and was begining to wonder if that was a good decision on his part or not. He continued strapping on his gauntlets, wearing only the flight suit and lower armor for protection. "Boba pass me my westars would you son?"

Boba grabbed the leather strap and holster and held it out to his father... the imfamous sliver chromed, twin blasters rested in the individual holders. "Why am I staying at Zams dad?" Boba looked at his father curiously as they stepped out onto the platform, the rain beating down around them with the thunder and lighting cracking above them.

"I have something I need to deal with... and you haven't spent a weekend at Zam's in a while," Jango tried to keep it simple as he walked behind Boba and scooped him up in his arms, carrying him to Slave one and set him down on the landing pad. "Can you get her prepped son?"

"Yup," Boba walked up the ramo and adjusted how he carried the armor and opened the air locked door. He walked inside and closed it behind him, walking up to the pilot seat he went through the procedure in his head before he pressed the buttons to get Slave One ready for take off.

Jango stayed outside as boba got into the ship. His hands expertly pulled the holsters around his waist and tightened it as he looked up and saw the thing he had been dreading... Montross' ship. "Boba! Lock Slave One and stay inside!" Jango yelled over the noises of slave one and the storms.

Boba could barely hear his father but nodded and flipped the switches to activate the lock down seqence.

Jango placed his hands on his blasters as water sprayed up and a loud humming was heard as Montross' mandalorian style corvette class ship began landing. Some smoke emitted from the engine in the ship as Montross walked down the ramp of the ship. "ah Jango Fett... I see you got my transmition..." Montross was a man much older than Jango with white hair and a scarred face to match the battles he had faught for the mandalorians.

Jango's jaw tightened and he began walking towards the whited haired mandalorian. "What makes you think you can show your face here Montross?... Don't think I forgot what you did..."

Montross let out a throated chuckle as he stalked forward, his hand lifting a more dented and scratched than Jango's. "Let us see if you really are the greatest bounty hunter in the Galaxy..."

Very interesting beginning. At first, I thought it was a different version of the battle between Jango and Obi-Wan; still, it was a nice surprise.

    I love the title.

Jango looked at Montross with a cold stare as the Mandalorian drew a blaster slowly, aiming it for Jango's chest. Jango stood calmly with his hands gripping the silver blasters, even with the thunder crashing over him all he could hear was his heart beating with a deadly calm... the calmness that he gets durning his hunts... The feral instinct took over him, his sight and hearing became clearer, Montross' breathing rang in his ears, along with his own as the Mandalorian infront of him loaded his blaster. The familar clicks coudl be heard as Montross locked and loaded the infamous long barreled blaster. Jango's mind was already planned out as to what he would do as he watched, he particularly paid attention to how Montross stood...

Montross let a blaster shot rip through the air. Jango was ready for the shot and raised his gauntlet covered wrist to let the arom absorb the shot as he moved his other hand under the raised wrist, firing a shot towards Montross.

As Montross dodged Jango was already moving, Montross naturally dodged to his dominat let (his right) Jango was able to determin this by the way the other Mandalorian always leaned slightly on his right, allowing more support to the stronger limb.

Jango let his body turn side was and fired two shots... one headed directly for Montross and another for slave one.

Montross was only able to see the first shot, as the second that was going to slave one was blocked by Jango's body. As montross continued his decent to the right the shot directed at him flew past his shoulder.

Jango aimed the second bolt to deflect off of Slave 1's sheilds... by the time Montross saw the second blast heading for him it was too late. Jango was already moving again by the time the blast hit it's target square in Montrosses chest. As Montross was forced backwards onto his back from the force of the double powered blast Jango fired his whipcord for the man's feet.

Montross may have been fooled once... but not again. He let the whip cord hit his foot, as the cord tangled around his ankle he planted his foot into the ground and pushed himself up, while doing so he pulled back on his legs so that he ended up in a sqwatting position. Montross' move yanked Jango forward from his feet.

Fett's jaw cracked into the hard, cold ground as his chest slammed into it, the breath being torn from his lungs. Jango coughed and spat out some blood as he looked up and instinctively pushed himself to his feet, whipping his mouth with the sleeve of his shirt. His eyes narrowed as the cold rain began creeping down his back. Montross rose to his feet... forgetting about the cord, Jango wrapped his other hand around it and pulled back hard, sending Montross crashing onto his back, firing a shot as he did. Jango felt the shot hit him in the exposed shoulder, he didn't feel the pain of the hits Montross was scoring because he wouldn't let himself... but something changed that...

"DAD!" Boba cried out from the ramp of Slave 1 as he saw the blaster shot enter his fathers shoulder then go straight through and out his shoulder blade, only a small trail of blood running from the open wound. Suddenly the burning of the shot and throbbing pain of his cracked jaw became apparent. Boba's worried yell shattered Jango's feral calm and he gripped his shoulder.

Montross looked at the young Boba standing at the ramp of the ship. "No... How can there be two of you?"

Jango looked from Boba to Montross and slowly stood straight, moving infront of his son. Thunder cracked continuously as lighting repeatively light up the sky. "There can't be two of you..." Montross was moving his blaster from one Fett.. to the other... "This can't be happening... The young one... he..." Montross' voice was slightly frantic but he soon reganed his posure "I'll just kill them both..."

Jango felt deep anger... The only anger he gets when Boba is in trouble or threatened. It was that deep crimson anger that made his vision red. Jango, blinded by rage, began rapidly firing at Montross as he m

Jango saw the blaster pointed at his son's head and had to do everything he could to not just snap Montross' neck... Instead he silently moved his wrist by the back of the ex-Mandalorian's leg. His wrist gauntlet Shot out a foot long, rigged blade straight into the back of the other man's leg. The long blade tore through the shoft back of Montross' leg and straight through the bone and to his knee cap... the only thing stopping the blade from going straight through was the armor around Montross' leg. Jango twisted the blade and Montross yelled in pain, his aim off of Boba and now aimed at Jango.

"Boba run!" Jango yelled to Boba as Montross grabbed Jango by the throat, his grip tightening by the second. Jango coughed and gagged as he felt his lungs tighten for air, making a pain deep in his chest. His bare hands gripped Montross' gloved one and tried to pry his fingers from his air deprived throat.

Jango then noticed the whip cord still attatched to his wrist gauntlet. Jango let go of Montross' hand and raised the wrist with the whip cord and retracted the metal cord. The thin line whipped forward and lashed across Montross' cheek, leaving a deep cut. Jango then felt his body thrown back as Montross let go of his throat and tossed him over the side of the platform...

"DAD!" Boba yelled as his father was thrown over the side. Boba ran forward towards the side, but stopped as Montross turned and opened fire on him. Boba turned on his heel and ran back for the pillar, pressing his back against it.

Jango heard his son's crys and fired the whip cord, he wrapped his hands around it and as his body jerk to a stop the metal cut into the soft flesh of his palms. "agh!" Jango felt blood running down his wrists from the cuts as he dangled from the edge.
