JCC Two surgeries at the same time....

Sooo... here we go again. Tomorrow I get to have both of these lovely procedures redone, since they've both failed. I knew that they failed a year ago, but as some of you know, I broke my leg in January and had to have it bolted together. The two failed surgeries had to wait until I could walk again... and I can.

So hooray... or something.

2012 has been a ****ing **** year for me.

Wish me luck, and pray that I don't croak, or something.

1) It wasn't the doctors' fault... the mesh implants were defective.
2) I didn't break my leg walking... I fell off a chair I was standing on.

 

Aren't there class action lawsuits going around about the mesh implants? You could make a few pennies joining up with one of them.

But anyway... this thread is for recovery room hilarity and adventures in pain medication.

I've pretty much accepted the fact that I'm not getting any sleep tonight. I've had these procedures done before, and therefore know what to expect... zero use of my abdominal muscles. So I've been scrubbing the **** out of my apartment, because I'm not going to be capable of really cleaning it for a while... that, and I'm pretty nervous. It's really unnerving to allow somebody to knock you out so that somebody else can cut you open. I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to not think about that, though... my doctors are really great, and I know I'll be fine... but still.
